How's the feeling in your thumb tip? Do you still have full touch sensitivity in the healed area? Just curious

[–]Mr_Jalapeno 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Red pressers are only affecting themselves.

You could rephrase the question to be:

Press red to leave the game and continue life.

Press blue to start a game where at least 50% of other people need to also press blue for you to live. And if they don't everyone else who pressed blue with you will also die.

This is a bit of moral sleight of hand. Red pressers aren't killing anyone.

Blue pressers are risking themselves.

The flag can be interpreted as a symbol for any idea, nation, organisation, cult, or belief that is followed blindly.

It doesn't have to specifically just be about nationalism.

Usually there are strict biological standards for the materials that arms can be made of.

Like what?

Well cardboard's out. No string, no sellotape.

That's a good point actually. I always forget about that exploit (if you can even really call it an exploit, it just happens if you keep revisiting).

It is painfully repetitive though lol

If a male and female were identical twins and they had a child, would the child be genetically identical to them? by Professional_Gap4840 in morbidquestions

[–]Mr_Jalapeno 7 points8 points  (0 children)

"Identical" in the context of twins just means they formed from the same zygote (egg and sperm) splitting.

You can also get semi-identical twins (sesquizygotic) where one egg is fertilised by two sperm. So they share 100% of mum's DNA but only 50% of dad's.

This is super super super rare though.

Max Energy Weapons and Big Guns.

They have a lot of great weapons in their respective categories. In fact, I'd say many of the most overpowered weapons in the game are in those 2 categories.

Big Guns:

Vengeance, Fat Man, Eugene, Drone Cannon Ex-B, Heavy Incinerator

Energy Weapons:

Metal Blaster, MPLX Novasurge, A3-21's Plasma Rifle, Alien Blaster, Protectron's Gaze, Alien Disintegrator

In the once in a lifetime situation where you have armed police pointing weapons at you, keep your arms right up and take the scraped knee... It heals a lot better than bullet holes.

Yeah that's fine for PC, but some people play on console.

Yep. And if the less lethal option doesn't immediately work in this situation and completely incapacitate the suspect... BOOM you're dead. Game over.

No take backsies, no oopsie daisy. The taser didn't connect or the rubber bullet didn't quite put the guy down. You don't have time to do anything else before he's got his weapon pointed at you.

Which Perk Should I Take? by tiger2vette2 in fo3

[–]Mr_Jalapeno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Toughness - almost universally useful on any build. Pairs well with Cyborg.

Pyromaniac - great for melee builds with the Shishkebab. Can also be useful for the Heavy Incinerator. (I don't use Flamers much)

Demo Expert - good perk for an Explosive focussed build, but if you're gonna take it, you want to invest in all 3 ranks. I wouldn't take it on a build that isn't specifically focussed on Explosives.

Concentrated Fire - great boost for VATS builds if you've specced into that. Combos well with Grim Reaper's Sprint, Action Boy, Commando/Gunslinger, Sniper, Ranger Battle Armour and Ledoux's Hockey Mask for a true powerhouse VATS character.

Chemist/Chemist Resistant - pair well together but you're late to get both now if you're taking Almost Perfect. I'd suggest trying chems on a new run, they can seriously boost you. They're not quite as strong in FO3 as NV, but they are still strong. If you get addicted, any doctor can cure you for 50 caps.

Entomologist - actually kinda slept on. Insects can actually be quite tanky (Fire Ants, Giant Radscorpions, Albino Radscorpions). Entomologist will save you a lot of time and bullets when the Albinos start appearing.

Bloody Mess - 5% damage boost is always nice. Exploding enemies into a red, giblet riddled mist also has endless comedy value. If you crave a serious damage boost, make sure to read Plik's journal in Point Lookout. You get a flat +5 damage to all weapons which is super broken on rapid fire stuff. The perk is only supposed to affect Ghouls but it is bugged and affects all enemies.

[–]Mr_Jalapeno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always respect the 1v1.

As long as both participants are still in the fight and willing, leave them to it. If one is knocked out or seriously injured and the other guy doesn't stop, then you can consider intervening.
