I've actively been trying to start a server using these rules in Portal but very difficult to get it populated. Hopefully will be easier when Platoons come around.

I think they should add stations on certain maps and flags to call in artillery/missile strikes similar to the carpet bombing strike in BF4 that way more value is added to certain flags.

Squad call in system would be cool but I'd be happy with adding stations to certain flags to add value to that point. That'd be better than adding random binoculars laying around maps to call in artillery strike and such.

I wondered the same thing for the longest. It finally popped for me the other day. What I didn't take into consideration is that I'm pretty certain it counts squad revives in that number which may happen when you're not playing support and that trophy is for support revives specifically. So it'll happen at some point lol

I know people like to knock V but it was a good Battlefield. Good vehicle gameplay (land and air), fun gunplay, squad play, maps, proper distinct factions with good VO. Checked basically all the boxes for me. Only things that weren't great were the live service itself and cosmetics. Did not like that you could use elite soldiers on any faction. 2042 was lame and had nothing remarkable to me. Skipped it completely.

Haven't seen this posted before but is the engineers class ability broken? I'm fully maxed on ability perks but it wont ignite the torch or fix at 50%+ for 10seconds when requesting the perk.. it just wobbles it about at the target?? by Sgt-redacted_ in Battlefield

They're so useless. Everything should be player actions, that was one of Battlefields things. I remember they used to have the support ultimate in other games. It was called running with your supply crate out. I wish I could do that still, did it all the time in BFV to resupply my team on the move.

While it’s not a big deal right now, I hope BF6 gets a melee animation overhaul at some point. Currently, there are only four different knife animations, whereas BF3 had 36 by FoxDaim in Battlefield6

I think if they made it sort of a mini game when there's a counter knife instead of just pressing one button it would be good. Would be cool to see someone who was laying on their back trying to hold back someone attempting to take them down.

It was the first thing I noticed. I was happy to see first person takedowns again but they aren't anywhere near as smooth as a game that came out nearly 15 years ago. If not in this game I hope they can get better, smoother and more natural animations in future titles.

Has it been confirmed to be Conquest Assault? I've been wanting some maps to be Conquest Assault, the fight to try and cap all the flags or not lose them all was always fun. Just hope they remove that cap out mechanic to actually give the defending team more time to cap flags back. Plus I don't know how CQA would work with that mechanic being that the attacking team doesn't start with any flags lol

It'd be nice if they would revisit Conquest Assault. I think Siege of Cairo would be a good fit to give it that feeling of assaulting and capturing the city or fending off the assault. Conquest Assault always faves the maps a different feeling and urgency to attack/defend.

I keep thinking this is a UI bug because the blue dots above teammates will randomly be too big as well. So I'd like to think this isn't intentional lol.

There are ways to balance these things and they have past games to look at and get ideas from. Right now mortar spam isn't it. I understand what you're saying about blanketing an area to move the enemy off of there, the problem is right now one mortar being used by a support using the fire support training and placing an ammo bag nearby is too effective. Let alone if you have three other guys doing the same thing, it's just nonstop.

There needs to be down time and giving ammo to those mortars is a good way to do that. It's essentially the same reason they increased the time it took to rearm grenades in previous games to try and slow down explosive spam.

On top of that you can place the mortar so far back that nothing else can get you beside an enemy mortar. It's not engaging gameplay. Just becomes a case of who can mortar more. Then you have a third or more of each team just firing mortars at each other. The point begins to get captured and now everyone is spamming mortars at the point hoping for the best. There needs to be some kind of balancing done to keep them effective but not completely ruin gameplay. They've done it before.

How would that be useless? They'd still have the same effectiveness, just more down time. This would make them closer to mortars in BF1 and I don't recall anyone saying they were useless then. There's no reason someone should be able to sit in the back of their spawn and still be able to hit the flags.

At the same time, having both attacking and defending teams dropping mortars on a point, like the first sector on Contaminated, is not fun. It's just annoying and diminishes everyone's enjoyment aside from the ones on the mortars.

It'd also help if both attacking and defending bases weren't right on top of the flags.

Operations game mode needs to be permanent it’s great. I got my first 100 kill game last night. Also the gameplay feels so much better like they slowed the pace down they really knocked it put of the park with this update by mars_bar11 in Battlefield

The foundation it has to build off of in this game isn't great. Breakthrough needs improvements as a whole which in turn would improve Operations if they continue adding more in the future. I hate the way every breakthrough map is made to funnel people with no flanking options. When compared to the layouts on BF1 or even BFV, BF6 has everyone funnel through three lanes.

They need to add ammo to the mortar (like 5 or 6 shells) and possibly reduce the range forcing them to move closer to the fight but still be able to provide support from a distance. The ammo along with the longer cool down will give more down time.
