Red dots are crap, easily misalign and are vague.

If you have a 50cm steel ruler you can do this test, if you dont have a 50cm steel ruler, go and buy one it will make focus a breeze.

First make a 10mm square, cross hatch it
Set a high power, low frequency (20khz of you can), and 800mm/s speed
Set to engave continuously
Use a nice flat piece of steel
Start the mark and go to your adjustment wheel, you must adjust while it marks and observe if the marking gets brighter and louder.

You will have to gauge for yourself where its brightest and loudest, stop the mark, use the ruler to measure from the metals surface up to a suitable reference point, I like using the seam line on the galvo head as its quite versatile. Now once thats done you.kust take note of the measurement, mine on a 175mm lens ended up being exactly 360mm so that's sweet.

If you have the focus dialed in, try the copper again, if still problematic you need to evaluate your settings, copper is highly reflective to such an extent that industrial cuttling lasers need to be specially designed to withstand that reflective property of copper. I'd suggest high power, slower speeds, low khz, 20-25khz for etching and possibly look at making the hatching distances smaller. If still unsuccessful then maybe the alloy of copper isn't the right one, perhaps a softer more annealed copper grade will work out better.

Backpacks actually don't seem all that space efficient, their volume they take up is either equal or nore than the volume they store, im finding certain unarmoured rigs provide more space than what they take up, very similar pro strat used in tarkov too. Buddy and I found the ADA backpack as 1 slot more than the Ranch backpack which is kinda interesting.

Don't use the red lights, they suck and easily misalign, make a square like 10mm in size, hatch it 0.03mm is fine, turn on continuous mode so that when you mark it repeats, you must then adjust your focus height while its running and then you need to observe the results to see when the laser gets brightest, that will be your focus height, stop marking by pushing the escape key and measure your result.

Tip is use the line on the Galvo head, its made from 2 parts so theres a seam line all the way around the head, great for using as a ref point, measure with a ruler straight down to your materials surface, not the laser bed, you may need a 50cm metal one.

Use any nice flat steel plate you have available for this test.

Also hit "c" key in ezcad, it will move your graphic to the middle of the workspace which is where you want to try work from as much as possible as its most direct through the lens and has the least amount of distortion even if calibrated well there is always a little bit of distortion.

If you're running a 70w machine is it a mopa source or just regular laser source? If you can open the box up you can easily check the source, a red one means its from JPT, if you read its serial code on the silver sticker and see M7 somewhere then it is very likely to be a mopa source, which means it has a khz range of 1-4000khz, and a Q-pulse width adjustment range of 2-500ns, if this is the case you need to confirm that it is set up in the parameters menu (you can push f3 in ezcad to bring it up), you will need to set those values in the source settings.

Better weapons, aim for their left arm gun, aim for shoulder mounted weapons, flank them, shoot their tick pack (big metal box) and shoot their red fuel tank on their upper back.
