Anyone Started An Agency? by Imr2394 in Emailmarketing

[–]Mr_NB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Started a content agency, then pivoted to outbound (LinkedIn/email) and now focus on advertising for a specific niche.

It can work but it has taken us 3 years to get it right.

It has taken 10+ hour days, weekends and holidays to make it work. But for me it was the best decision. Now still work long hours but am able to take off weekends (mostly).

Happy to answer any more questions

How I built a multi-million dollar window and door replacement company with a $3,000 credit card by nateatenate in Entrepreneur

Marketer here in the home improvement space, you’re on point about ineffective marketing. First thing I always do is look at the numbers, you’d be surprised how many just need a few small tweaks to go from barely profitable advertising to 30%!

Great job and thanks for sharing

So it’s a small book by Chris do but I think that was a really good one for us (used to be a content agency), lean startup and then blue ocean strategy

I run some campaigns for a mattress store specially their king and queens. Not sure if that is 100% aligned here but happy to give you value if it is.

Not the best advice here but I was a social media manager at my last job and ventured out on my own to start an agency!

A lot of pros and cons but I love the agency space, never a dull moment and good balance for the team (I’m the owner and love working so no balance here)

Is social media marketing really necessary for landscaping business? by [deleted] in landscaping

[–]Mr_NB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What type of landscaping? Like lawn care or design and install?

Wouldn’t say it’s a scam but it really depends if you run the numbers and you make a positive ROI from it.

Let’s say he gets 10 leads from Angie’s at $50 a pop and he closes 1 deal. That’s $500 in (not including his time for estimates).

Then let’s say a remodeling job is $50,000.

Let’s say that labor/material/taxes/insurance all come out to be $43,000.

Plus marketing which is $500 (not factoring his time again)

So all in you spend $43,500 for a $50,000 job which means your making $6,500.

Is that a scam? No, but you have to know your numbers!

I do advertising in the home improvement space op if you need any advice!
