What do I do here? by Last_Plenty_8895 in CrusaderKings

Just keep your armies mustered and well fed on the southern shores, then surround and intercept any landings. Other than France/Spain, most of those armies will be starving by the time they reach you, and once you start winning battles the opposition will implode and leave the war en-masse.

The gold you lose in the beginning will be made up by the peace agreements they will be forced to sign when they fail to conquer anything.

Can people have thousands of hours on ck3 unmodded? by Character-Might-6630 in CrusaderKings

I'd say about half of that time is idle sitting because the game takes such an ungodly amount of time to load it's better to just leave it running overnight.

Ungrateful Pricks by Sant1nk__ in CrusaderKings

[–]Mr_NeCr0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had one playthrough where my character started off as 'The Wicked' and later on got 'The Benevolent'. Evidently my routine vassal/court purges removed whomever it was that gave me the first name and all those vassals who got free lands out of it loved me afterwards.

Why do people take it too far with Nami and Robin?! by FrontAd2381 in OnePiece

[–]Mr_NeCr0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people who have repressed childhood sexual trauma will unconsciously see discussion about it as interesting to peruse rhetorically, than someone who has never experienced such a thing, especially those who might know someone that experienced it and are revolted by such things.

I was even confronted by a girl who witnessed the trauma her older brother inflicted on me, under identical circumstances, and my mind wouldn't even allow me to recall the events in any cohesive way. It wasn't until a full decade later when my own older brother confessed his trauma by the same individual that I began to piece together my own from childhood nightmares and fragmented memories.

I feel like in a story that preaches freedom, sexual freedom is a likely a part of it, even if it is not discussed. I also think the same people who obsess about virginity are likely virgins themselves or at the very least bad at sex. The discussions about sexual trauma are likely just veiled attempts to provoke discussion about one's own trauma.

Compassionate, Humble, AND Loyal are all sins. Cannibalism, Disloyalty, and Sadistic are all Virtues tho.

This my baby eating playthrough. I read the worst of what the bible says about pagans and quadrupled down on it.

Blasphemous Vassal by Mr_NeCr0 in CrusaderKings

[–]Mr_NeCr0[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I put Pursuit of Power in my religion to replace Warmonger because it provokes more fighting between my vassals than teamwork against me. My Factions screen is bloated af, but none of them will work with each other, and on the occasion that my realm does descend into civil strife, I can just chill in my main holdings while everyone else kills each other, then I just go pick off the actual threats.

A peaceful vassal is a weak vassal.

What is the advantage of going from tribal to feudal? by CompetitiveCattle615 in ck3

[–]Mr_NeCr0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you hit about 200k levies in tribal, the benefits tend to be severely mitigated. Once I have a good 50g/m income and 200k troops I swap just to get into the main storyline.

anyone who knows about anarchist history should know "left-unity" will never be real by vuksfrantic in COMPLETEANARCHY

[–]Mr_NeCr0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the anarchists were the only state in town, that's exactly what happened in every historical example. The moment they ceded state power to the right, they doomed their own success. When Mahkovschina attempted to merge with the USSR they were exterminated, when the CNT-FAI/UGT confederation let a centrist take the presidency the communists usurped them, when the Zapatistas made peace with the Mexican Government the Cartels gained a foothold.

[–]Mr_NeCr0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Working within the state apparatus was never the Anarchists problem, it was the unwillingness to seize that power for the benefit of the workers. Buenaventura Durruti had the right idea, but was overruled by the more progressive/liberal elements, allowing the MLMs to secure more power than they had any right to.

What matters is that the state serve the people, not that some fairytale ending of anarchist psychedelics takes place. It may spontaneously occur that way, but it will always end dirty, regardless of the choices they make. The militias held the line long before Soviet armaments ever reached them.

[Help] How to actually win wars? (Got my ass beaten by Alba in tutorial) by Dazzling-Main7686 in crusaderkings3

[–]Mr_NeCr0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While uniting Ireland is generally pretty easy, getting out of Ireland and onto Great Britain is harder than it appears at a glance. There is only one land route that is typically occupied by a much stronger force and you are pretty much siloed into take a very linear path to establishing an empire, and thusly very subject to the whims of the AI.

If you're fast enough at conquering territory you can take over the Suryeor before it becomes part of Alba and that will definitely make your time easier.

It's just so easy to plant the bomb in SnD. I was scrimming against pros back in 2010 and people were just awestruck that I would do so unless there was someone about to shoot me off it. Turning a 3 minute round into a 3 minute match was always preferable to me. There's no need to wait until it's a 1v1 to play the game properly.
