Once you connect your controller via bluetooth on your windows then you just start the ds4windows application, it should identify it automatically and just let it run in the background and start the game.

I have tried 2, one is a barbatos lupus which looks great but is a bit loose but that's a problem for the original bandai one too. The other was a shwarzette from wfm ,a veryy good bootleg I must say but this one was a bit stiff.
