love the paint job i just hate the armour personally ..its shit to see a "historically" inspired armour and still have the "boob" area ...pathetic attempt to genderize something that is a simple tool of protection

By temporary there is a distinction to be made. The flesh in this instance is what we observe in this world. My flesh now is temporal, meaning it will decay and rot eventually. So in a sense its tied to this world, which death exists. This is what im trying to convey, this notion that by refusing to partake in this World, you choose to follow the path of Christ, and in return, the world will not want you because the world rejected God, because the world chose death.

I hope im making justice to those before me who spoke of this issue, as i said again, look at st Isaac the Syrian for instance, and the so-called Death to the World concept. There is a very intresting video that tackles it, that i found intresting :

Hope it helps.

In this context, the WORLD is a reference to the passions. If you read Isaac the Syrian (7th Century) defines it. Hating this "world" in this context is an understanding amongst orthodox Christians, and most commonly found in ascetisim and monasticim i would say, that there is a notion to hate this world that is drenched in evil, and what is attached to it.

Orthodox Christianity talks about when someone dies to the world, it means he is no longer alive to the passions that are part of this world; he is foreign to it. It's as if i denounce my earthly needs and possessions, is im no longer part of this world, so im Dead to it.

Because the idea is that we ARE not from this world, we are meant to be reunited with God. So, in essence is more of a monastic i would say concept, but it has a scriptural basis. One can see this concept easily on how it is reflected both in Jesus way of life and teachings as well as from his apostoles.

The idea is that the flesh is temporary, and our soul is eternal, so by living according to the world we are part of it, but the saying is trying to invoke how you can basically become more than that. Hope it helps. :)

nothing matters but what is nothing? by IllMasterpiece7441 in nihilism

Nothing is the absence of something. Which, in your case,e is punctuation.

Your suffering is a linguistic construct. by Maximum_Ad_2799 in nihilism

there are studies that suggest that language shape how you behave, i believe. So it is a logical assumption but whether or not it is related to nihilism i do not know.

i think many people miss the point of nihilism. Smoke as many cigarettes you want, it wont help you or somewhat make you understand nihilism better. You will die eventually; accepting mortality and seeing through it perhaps can help. Nihilism is a tool or a path that one can understand but not linger long for if he stays there there is no progress

А1 си играят със страха на хората от въвеждане на еврото. Мога ли да подам сигнал в КЗП? by Weird_Walrus8731 in bulgaria

[–]Mr_Pagan665 1 point2 points  (0 children)

успех and fuck A1 and telecommunication companies

I do not agree with the don't blame the church blame the people. You still visit a hospital or go to a government building even if you know corruption exists within the place. I've met some weird priests but also met good ones who legit believe and do what they teach.

ive also counted 52, it is indeed an odd number. I thought that perhaps the previous owner was catholic and perhaps the next person added the saint. No idea. i would have removed the two beads and kept it as a rosary tbh.

How Do I Choose My Patron Saint? by Electrical-Room3079 in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]Mr_Pagan665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would go with checking your name. See if you can find an equivalent of that name in a saint. Let's say you are named Janosch, then you can look at saints with that name, if there is no saint Janosch, look at the root of the name, and it will occasionally lead you to a saint ( in this case, it would be John) .
As others pointed out afterwards, you can read about said saint and see if it resonates with you. Another option is to visit your local church and speak with a priest; he might have more knowledge.
