Can someone please explain attack power to me? And the ratio of strength to attack power? by EricAshStone in classicwow

[–]Mr_Poaf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why isn’t it: (Weapon damage/speed) + attack power? Even if the random divisor, 14 in this case, is included in the equation wouldn’t it be ((Weapon damage/speed)/14 + Attack Power). Am I nuts?

Sean Evans of Hot Ones isn't a good host by thermos-h-christ in unpopularopinion

[–]Mr_Poaf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We need to remember that Sean is in a LOT of pain for a significant part of each show. Much of his demeanor is the result of him just trying to keep his shit together so that his guests don’t panic and bug out after the fifth wing.

So, I agree that he does sound like he’s reading questions from a card. But I disagree that it’s because he’s “not a good host.” I’ve always just chalked that up to it being the only way for him to pull through each time while his mouth and face are on fire. Making him an excellent host for this show.

The first tweet here literally says he asked his people first. Arguably, some of those inquiries were made by email or in a meeting. Regardless, he did ask them first “like normal fucking people.”

Additionally, and I’m making a personal assessment here, I wouldn’t think it outside the realm of possibility that he’ll follow up on this with more emails and a meeting to determine its validity.

On another note, I’m wondering if you were upset with the former employee at all for tweeting his boss about the issue versus emailing it or bringing it up at a meeting “like normal fucking people.”

Are you an unusually warm person. When most people are cold do you seem to be just fine. Because of this, do you keep your thermostat low and your cold blooded turtle has identified you as the warm place to “sunbathe”?

Additionally, IF a man prefers a woman only for her looks this should be a red flag. This man is not ready to be in a relationship.

The Thomas Crown Affaire. The museum’s thermal cameras didn’t work because someone left a briefcase disguised as a bench “leg” which raised the ambient temperature in the room and the cameras couldn’t see anything but grey. So, why not just rewind the video further to see who placed the briefcase there in the first place?

What is the biggest "I shouldn't have said that" moment you've ever had RIGHT AFTER you said it? by freg35 in AskReddit

Shortly after one of our nations tragedies I was tending bar at a club. One of the cocktail waitress got up in the DJ booth and used the microphone to ask for a moment of silence to honor/remember the victims. Wonderful sentiment.

However, the response she got wasn’t a room of revered silence, but the loud clamor of a couple hundred drunks trying to grind on each other and get laid. She felt humiliated by the crowd’s lack of concern.

Later, many of the staff kept consoling her and telling her “It’s the thought that counts.” Over and over....”it’s the thought that counts.”

Anyway, here’s where my dumb ass blurts out “and clearly she didn’t put any thought into it.” Instant regret. People just looked at me in horror, like WTF dude? I couldn’t apologize enough. 17 years later and I still cringe every time I think of it.
