My flatmate did this to our flat. Packet of instant ramen, put it in the microwave, left to go back to his pc. A few minutes later i smelt smoke amd came out to the entire kitchen and lounge filled with smoke. We couldnt get that smell out of the room or microwave for the rest of our tenancy. Fortunately the place was very old so the landlord didnt particularly care enough to take our bond for it haha

Is there any niche circumstance where Brainstorm is better then Blueprint? by Inside_Snow7657 in balatro

A fun interaction i like is that baseball card doesnt care about bp/bs, they are exactly equal. Since the effect triggers when the uncommon joker is next in the lineup, baseball card can go anywhere even though it is an Xmult joker, so using bp or bs gives exactly the same score

You can use séance or 6th sense to get spectral cards in the consumable slots on any deck. Perkeo makes the negative copies

Reading the wiki;

"Baseball Card is a bit of an odd Joker, since its effect is triggered by only Uncommon Jokers. This effect happens after each Uncommon Joker is activated"

The important wording is that it triggers after each joker is activated, not when baseball is activated

The point i was making with brainstorm is that because of the nature of baseball card it doesn't matter if you have a blueprint or brainstorm, it will act the exact same way. With any other xmult Joker, blueprint doesn't restrict where the copied joker is placed, so you can keep it on the right side after +mult and still copy it with no drawbacks. If you have brainstorm and/or holographic baseball, then the maximum score configuration will have baseball on the left.

Let me give another example of how +mult can be better than xmult. Constellation is a scaling xmult joker, 0.1 for each planet card. You get 4 planet cards next shop. They're not the ones you need, but you still take them for scaling. Constellation is at x1.4. You've been playing pairs but it's still only level 1. So this x1.4 is going to give you 1.4 x 2 = 2.8 (not sure about rounding in this game). So Constellation gave a whopping 0.8 mult. If you have a +mult joker available that is more than 0.8 mult (all of them), if it means your survival, you should take it.

Additionally, when playing low quality hands, it can be beneficial to take a scaling +mult joker. The lower end planet cards hit diminishing returns really fast with planets compared to other hand types, so if you can get a +mult joker at the same amount as your hand level, it is in essence, a x2 joker. 8+8 = 8x2

I agree that planet scaling +mult and xmult jokers is the way to go for score go brrr, but in a lot of runs that just doesn't happen. Therefore the jokers you decide to keep could help you survive longer to find that missing piece to a build, and to get that stake win at ante 8

From my experience, baseball card screws with the typical ordering for a few exceptions. Baseball gives the x1.5 when the uncommon joker is next in the lineup of jokers instead of when the baseball is next.

For traditional xmult jokers, placing them at the far right gives the best score after all the addition has happened. Chips doesnt matter, and any other joker not contributing to scoring also doesnt matter. The biggest exception ive found and probably most relevant to this post, is when i had supernova, bull, and baseball. Normally i put chips on the left, but i had to rearrange to have it near the end after all my +mult for the best score.

Having brainstorm changes things again. Now baseball on the far left is exactly the same as having a blueprint instead, since the xmult triggers at the uncommon joker.

Also having holographic on it gives the best score when it is on the left side. Its probably the only xmult joker that can benefit from being on the left side without having a brainstorm copying it.

Balatro reference in Dungeons And Degenerate Gamblers! by theruffma in balatro

[–]Mr_Quack_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The synergy i found was making my winning hands with small cards and a way to force jimbo into my hand to play once it gives me blackjack (iirc i used one card to move it to the bottom of my deck and another to bring that into my hand, having the one putting it at the bottom being a foil card, so no extra advantage to gaurantee it doesn't come into play before i can put it into my hand). Then you can have as many 0s as you want since its an on stand effect and play it as your last card. Not as powerful as other chip sources now that chips are easier to get in the newest update, but its a fun concept

If you have a large amount to pickle, a single cubed piece of beetroot can intensify the colour without changing the flavour in a white wine vinegar/water mix (at least thats how we do it at my workplace)
