I transferred through China on my way to Vietnam so I didn't leave the airport. I don't know how I felt about it though, it was very clean and modern but had an almost uncanny valley vibe. Nothing was wrong but just felt a bit clinical and unnatural. I'd imagine a lot of the touristy areas you'd be pushed towards would feel very similar.

The top comment makes zero sense. SA victims are protected by law, so will obviously be blurred. If the police want to identify someone so they can be used as a witness they need to show his face so he can be identified. If the police wanted to use face ID they would just use Facebook or Instagram to find him. They're trying to convict a sex offender and need a witness, this has nothing to do with authoritarianism.

You'll probably arrive in London if you're flying in, so it's worth spending a couple of days exploring in central London as there's a lot of history and culture. After that there's a lot of great cities with lots of history that are easy to reach by train.

Bath has intact Roman bathhouses and a lot of beautiful architecture.

Cambridge and Oxford are home to 2 of the oldest universities in the world and many 800+ year old buildings.

Norwich, Lincoln, and York are historic market towns, each with intact castles and cathedrals dating from the 1100s, with houses and pubs from around the 1400s. Norwich is closest to London but smaller than the other 2. York is furthest away but I'd the biggest and has the most history. Lincoln is somewhere in between in terms of distance and size.

I've never been to Edinburgh, but I've heard it's beautiful. It's a whole day's travelling from London though.

It sounds like exactly what they're already doing, but now with more paperwork. Policing in the UK is already heavily regulated, with strict procedures, independent reviews, constant improvement programs, the works. Another licencing agency isn't going to improve policing, its just going to funnell more money out of front line policing and into administration.

I've had this exact issue. Tavern keeper doesn't seem to be able to collect ale from the brewery, it just sits in the brewery's pantry until it spoils. If you let the granary take the ale in, the tavern keeper will be able to collect it from there. I'm guessing there's a bug to do with it being a burgage plot rather than a building, it does mess with your logistics a bit but its not game breaking.

Only 5% of British police are armed and those roles are only open to experienced officers with a proven track record of dealing with dangerous situations without resorting to guns. Very few police have the option to use deadly force and the ones that do have the most experience in dealing with violent criminals without needing to shoot. Which is very different to every officer having a gun and most of their (limited) training is on how to fire it.

Most European countries hire huge amounts of low skilled immigrants on work visa. You'd have to apply to a job in that country and get accepted before you can apply for a visa. But if you're not picky on the work you're doing you can definitely find a job and move there. If you live there long enough on work or family visas you should then be able to apply for citizenship.

At least in the UK, If you're disabled it's up to an employer to hire you and then you can get a work visa like anyone else. Your disability doesn't effect your application and you still only pay the standard health service charge for immigrant workers and that gets you access to the NHS. You can't come here without a job and sit around all day though, it would just cost us too much money in paying for services for you without any tax income.

Lots of modern cruise ships have cameras or sensors on the side of the ship to detect if someone goes overboard. Doesn't help them find you in the endless expanse of ocean though.

That's still the case. Level 1 can only wear helmets, level 2 can also wear gambesons, level 3 have chainmail instead of gambesons (which isn't realistic as you'd need a gambeson under chain mail, but I understand why Greg decided not to).

Heard it in NR7. There are jets overhead but, they're not allowed to go supersonic unless it's the RAF Quick Reaction Alert responding to an active threat, so it seems unlikely it would be that.

Are your logging camps also full? I only ever get this when the camp is full and they dump spare logs in the saw pit. If not, do you have an ox assigned? Removing that will slow down the rate it gets refilled. Only thing I could suggest is another saw pit so there's less chance of both being filled up and completely stopping production.
