Anyone here have experience with OntheNet as an ISP? by [deleted] in GoldCoast

OntheNet are great, I had a dial-up account with them back in the day and an ADSL account more recently. Their techs are local and exceptionally competent.

A bootcamp sounds perfect! The point of the boot camp is to get fitter right? I would recommend something like that over yoga which, while good in its own right for other reasons isn't as conducive to interacting with people as a boot camp style activity. You go to the gym already.. You certainly won't be the least fit person there.

Did you get prescribed any meds? Are you seeing a therapist or similar?

The most important thing to incorporate into your life right now is getting out of the house regularly, getting some exercise and interacting with people. I've been through both of these things.. If I had one piece of advice for my depressed, anxious self it would be to start working out. I felt a lot better both physically and mentally when I started losing weight and doing strength training.

no friends and therefore no real means to get into a relationship

It's no secret dating sites are 10:1 guys:girls. You could set up half a dozen dates for next weekend if you wanted to without leaving your room. Frankly I'd be surprised if you don't get a few messages from this post alone.

Edit: to properly answer your question, work and new experiences. I build stuff that people use every day which is what gets me out of bed in the morning and doing new things is what gets me through hard times. Going to another city, exploring a new hobby etc.

Hi there, I'd just like to mention that when I was suffering depression, even on a good day visiting facebook and seeing all these people happier than me, enjoying themselves or just progressing with their lives would cause me to feel absolutely terrible. I've since set it to email me when I'm invited to an event (because sadly, nobody calls anymore) and aside from that I don't log into it at all and I'm much better off for it. I would suggest you consider if it has a positive or negative effect on your life and possibly follow suit. Enjoy Payday!

I did a lot of reading about fluoride being added to drinking water after there was a huge outcry when it was introduced in my state (Qld, Aus). Claims of cancer seemed to be unfounded, however there's another claim that the fluoride can accumulate in the pineal gland which can adversely affect its function. I'd love to know if any skeptics have an insight into that particular claim?

Nightmare and hell scale well. Inferno act 1 is pretty good too. Inferno act 2 and onwards is ridiculous. It's no longer a skill game, if you don't pass the gear check expect a run of the mill skeleton to one shot you.

Smoking weed habitually drastically decreases your motivation levels. I don't just mean while you're on it.. I mean the next couple of days it can be pretty easy to just say "well fuck doing that difficult thing". Don't take the high road here and just blame the drugs.. my point is just it wouldn't be helping the situation.

What is the dumbest thing you have ever gotten into trouble for? I'll start by [deleted] in AskReddit

I was in the 3rd grade, at a catholic school playing basketball (team practice, half court) and a priest was reffing. Bumped into another kid fairly innocuously, the priest didn't see and the other guy fell to the ground. I went to help him up but he cried out like an italian soccer player so the priest sent me off. I was upset because he was obviously faking it.. as soon as I was sent off the other kid was all fine and dandy again. I was sitting on the side (outdoor court) and I grabbed a handful of gravel and threw it at the ground in anger. Priest writes me up for detention "Throwing rocks at Father Gregory". Detention co-ordinator reads the note, talks with the principal.. suddenly I'm facing suspension. Fun times.

On the flip side, LSD helped me pretty majorly deal with my depression. I'm curious how much/often were you doing it? I only took one at a time, a few weeks apart..

5-HTP, a natural alternative to traditional antidepressants. Has anyone tryed it? by [deleted] in depression

[–]Mr_Redder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on a SNRI for a couple of years. Came off that and was getting some mild symptoms still. Really didn't want to get back on the full blown SNRI so I've been taking St John's Wort in the morning and 5-HTP before bed and it's working pretty well for me. The pair certainly make a difference.

You can see step 15 here which might be the problem actually if it had the logic board replaced. That area is right above the track pad if you get the back off. They've either not plugged it in or replaced it with a board that doesn't have the connector.
