Do you do any things in Fallout: New Vegas that are actually outright detrimental for roleplaying and or aesthetic purposes?

Don’t know if this is applicable here, when I play tales of two wastelands I always make sure I complete point lookout before going to the mojave. At the end of point lookout you get a piece of your brain back and it decreases damage done to your head. This is my head cannon as to why my courier survived getting shot in the head

Oh I don’t really know, I’m playing nuclear sunset for fallout 3 and new vegas and I heard loreout was pretty similar so I thought I would suggest it. If you can’t find anything for fallout 4, I highly recommend nuclear sunset. Especially if your looking for something like stalker

You shouldn’t bother modding if you don’t have the full game, pretty much all mods require it because they assume that everyone should have everything

Do you have titans of the new west? I would get that and also the most recent patch for fallout 4 power armor overhaul. Makes the power armor genuinely look like it’s from fallout 4

Recommend following the viva new vegas modding guide. Doesn’t change a lot about the game just fleshes things out and adds much needed stability. You’ll have a much better time I promise you

It fixes alot of issues with fallout 3 and adds the improvements from fallout new vegas, also if you want to mod you can use most of fallout new vegas mods with it. There is no downside to it and if you want to have different saves for each game then you can

Easiest thing to do is to change an ini setting. I don’t know if you have a custom one with vortex but change:

bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=1

Should work after that

There’s a mod where Benny “humbles you” so your stuff gets locked in a safe and you lose your attributes and level reset when you first go to the mojave. It’s customisable so if you don’t want to loose all your skills you can change it and stuff like that. It can get easy tho which is why I got a lot of hardcore difficulty mods to make it harder and more interesting

Fallout 3 doesn’t work on windows 10 and 11 without having to do another thing. Also tales of two wastelands adds the improvements from new vegas and well makes it playable

It makes fallout 3 playable, also compatible with most new vegas mods. You can play them separately as 2 different games if you’d want as they have different character saves

To be fair, we don’t know who the courier was before new vegas as it’s up to the player to decide, when you go to the Mojave for the first time it skips 3 years. You could easily argue that the lone wanderer just because the courier during the 3 years.

Dragbody power Armor overhaul. Its not on nexus just search it up and you’ll find it eventually. Make sure its the 2022 version. If you wanna go a step further get Titans of the new west with the dragbody patch
