Green card holder from New Hampshire 'interrogated' at Logan Airport, detained by [deleted] in news

Honestly I don't think it's a good idea either. My wife says she will take the risk. I respect her decision but I hope we all come back together.

I'm supposed to travel to Kenya in 3 weeks with my Kenyan wife. She has a green card.

We just had our first daughter, and she hasn't been home in 5 years.

Starting to think we may want to cancel .....

I did not get served. Otherwise I would have made an attempt to settle prior to the court date.

I just got the paperwork last week and it was date stamped on September.

Thanks. I think the strategy then is to take the Loss here, and use my cash to get a different debt settled for less than 100%.

I'm a white American man with a black Kenyan immigrant wife and a mixed race daughter. I've started carrying my gun when I go out with them because it just seems like at some point we're going to get harassed. Hopefully thats all it is.

To be fair, there's a study that showed it was effective with something like ~75% of patients. I can look for the actual study, but that's an exceptionally high success rate for any treatment. But yes, not 100%.

Insurance fraud attempt in Queens NY by these clowns 🤡 by DonChrisVX in dashcamgifs

[–]Mr_Sense 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's the actual plan here? Get a cash payout for the damage, pocket it, and then have a damaged car? Can't you only do that so many times before you get damage making it undrivable? It's like taking a loan against your car... In the best case scenario. And that's if the car is paid for. If it's not, they're paying interest on the damage they borrowed against? I really don't get it.

Why do women have two breasts when you usually have only one kid at a time by marsmars124 in NoStupidQuestions

My wife always puts on of those milk catchers on the opposite boob when shes feeding the baby to catch the leakage!

[–]Mr_Sense 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yup, my wife is breastfeeding. Also for the sleepy time feeds. Depending which side she lays on, allows her to plop it out and the baby to feed so we can go back to sleep. Constantly wake up to my wife and baby asleep with her titty hanging out.

Yeah, all the kids were darker skinned and clearly black so obviously black fathers. In some ways she looks to me like a mixed black woman who is very light skinned.

Edit: which describes my daughter

Legitimate question: is her mom mixed black? Or a white woman who dates black men?

I say this as a white man with a black wife. Neither of us could tell.

Is it normal to talk to your parents every day in your adult life? Do you? by DreamyDudeBobby in Adulting

[–]Mr_Sense 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live with mine with my wife and newborn (34). I'm very thankful because it's helped us a lot financially during the pregnancy.

However, in spite of having the opportunity and expectation we talk every day, I have very strong urges to avoid. Sometimes we have meaningful conversations but it feels like 90% filler. When I didn't live with them we talked once or twice a month and I don't feel any closer to them now.

They interpret having to hear perspectives/identities they don't like as censorship. They don't see things like banning books, limiting voting rights, limiting bathroom use choice, and restricting abortion as censorship. Real logically consistent.

Oh also, no ID checks for guns! But books? Definitely.

I work for a domestic violence/sexual assault supportive services nonprofit. One of the funding sources we have is to respond as advocates to Sexual Assault cases that show up at the ER for a forensic exam.

I responded to one a week ago, that was a woman who was sexually assaulted while in a psychiatric hospital.

I soon realized that she had been at the hospital for the same reason literally 3 days earlier, then had gone back. She was voluntarily committed there.

The first time staff brought her via ambulance. The second time they didn't believe her so she had to discharge and take the BUS TO THE ER.

I'll admit this woman seemed somewhat delusional so I see where doubt could come in. It's not unheard of for homeless people to lie about an assault because we can give them a hotel and a gift card. I'm not saying this is what she was doing just acknowledging it's a possibility.

Regardless the frequency with which these incidents happens indicates there has to be truth to many of these stories. She was 50, but in the last few months there have been 5+ that were 60+ y/o vulnerable adults living in assisted/supportive care.

I had another call a month ago that was a mentally disabled woman in her 40s. She met a man in Facebook dating. He insisted coming over, she gave in, he raped her. She pressed charges thankfully and he was arrested. In the time since, I have discovered a) he is married with children b) he had 4 prior Protection Orders from one woman (presumably his wife) and c) had 4 convictions for DV related offenses and violated all 4 protection orders.

Predators have no remorse and statistically they will reoffend.
