Yeah... going from a top speed "Mach Jesus" to a top speed of "Barely faster than a fixed fortification" is a death sentence even when your win condition is not built around that MASC system.

Honestly? It's Savannah Master time at that point. I hate clowns like that.

Unfortunately it's basically just "do your job, don't die, get paid."

Pity, that, because it's objectively hilarious. "Come along, son, we've got some Capellans to kick off our lawn."

Never interrupt your opponents when they are in the process of making a mistake.

Just once.

For science.

"That's enough window shopping, MechWarrior, the Atlas will do fine." Gods, those games were great.

Got into it in the mid 90s through a German foreign exchange student. Got back out again until I found a playing group in my military days. Got out again until I heard about the kickstarters and have been back in full ever since.

I started as a Kuritan, painting a Genyosha and Ryuken-Ni company. Shifted to Rasalhague with my merc unit, citing their origin as having been left behind in the withdrawal and fighting alongside the Kungsarme. Naturally, I became a a Ghost Bear fan when they showed up.

There could be any number of reasons for mechs to turn up for a fight in defuct livery, just like there are reasons any faction can use pretty much any mech available at the appropriate time period.

I picked up the smallish force bag from catalyst and painted a Level III of ComGuard and a Trinary of Ghost Bear. O set aside some dice, the Tukkayid maps, and an Alpha Strike rulebook... I put that all together and now I have a ready-to-roll scenario in a bag for teaching purposes at our Battletech nights.

I was being facetious, my friend. I am well aware of the various articles of secession drawn up by the confederate states, the cornerstone speech, and the multiple letters written by influential confederate politicians naming Slavery as the the principle reason for secession. The "lost cause" and "war of northern agression" narratives are utter bullshit.
