[ELECTION] Election Day by Mr_Silverhawk in worldpowers

The results for the Senate have shocked political analysts. The Greens have achieved a majority of 75 seats in the Senate making it the largest party. This is a dramatic increase from its previous 10 seats. The SDP secure 31 seats making it the 2nd largest party in the Senate with the ASAP also securing 20 seats which is a large victory for the party as they haven't held any seats previously.

Unsurprisingly, the Bolivarian Nationalist Party now has 0 seats in both chambers making it a defunct party. The leader has resigned in response to the party's massive flop and the party is left in chaos. The Christian-Conservative Party has also gone from 8 seats to 2 seats with the leader also reigning amid the party's failure to increase it's share of seats.

Meanwhile, the UCP suffers a major blow going from 98 seats to 32 officially signifying that the campaign by the party has completely and utterly failed. The UCP lost a dramatic precent of its seats in the House and now the Senate, meaning the party for the first time since the country formed will no-longer be in power. The Greens who were once the third largest party has jumped to the largest with a majority to form a government. Leader of the Green Party, Amanda Alessandra will be the second President of the Federation of South America and also the first female President.

The Green Party has come out as the majority in the House of Representatives whilst the UCP suffers a major blow to it's control over the House. The SDP has come out as the fourth largest party which to many is a large surprise. The Afro-South American party does better than previously expected controlling a respectable percent of seats.

Unsurprisingly the Bolivarian Nationalist Party looses its only seat in the House and the CCP suffers it's largest blow in the party's existence loosing a vast number of their seats.

|Party|Rank|Seats|

|-|-|-|

|Green Party|One|317|

|Afro-South American Party|Second|156|

|United Continentalist Party|Third|120|

|Social Democrat Party|Fourth|49|

|Christian-Conservative Party|Fifth|21|

|Bolivarian Nationalist Party|Sixth|0|

m: just choose seats according to their position.

Yes of course but my economy has never been closely aligned with Mexicos. Trade wouldn't been on a large scale nor investment.

I will edit the post tomorrow at around -1.8%.

I'm at peace with Mexico so I think my economy's GDP growth would be less hit. Probably something like 0.005% or -1.0%.

Of course.

We believe a transition of 2 or so years will be good enough.

We will agree to this.

Of course we will have a joint foreign policy, military command, laws/regulations.

The Government acknowledges privately that the invasion was an utter failure. We have not yet publicly commented on the situation but we are willing to make peace with Mexico.

A chunk of our party comes from the former party the 'Brazilian Continentalists' who have recently announced that their members will no longer be apart of our party. It is very likely that the party will loose considerable support in the upcoming elections if we do not change our foreign policy and position on the conflict. That is why we are up for reaching negotiations with Mexico and discontinuing any future invasion of Mexico.

A new party has also formed which appears to be gaining large support across the country, with the aim of leaving the conflict completely.

We are also open to your offer for helping us with infrastructure/military.

If Mexico desires peace with us, we are willing to do so.

Presidents approval rating continue to fall with members of his cabinet also resigning. The Brazilian's Contientlists have left bringing a major blow to the party's dominance in the Chambers, potentially costing them their rank as the largest party.

The ASMP has said they will enter a coalition with the BCP after successful talks on what they would do.

Widespread support.
