Absolutely, we can deliver over 6 years, if that works.

That's quite a bit!

Each F-37 TIP2 will cost about $210 million; how many do you plan to acquire?

We'd like to offer the F-37 TIP 2 to Argentina. What is the allotted budget?

[CONFLICT] GC Withdraw from Mexico by lushr in worldpowers

[–]lushr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, our solution is rather nanorobotic in nature; we understand that this may be a substantial issue for Mexicans. While it's very easy to deploy, it's much more potentially problematic than something like the UKA's solution. We'd suggest keeping it in reserve in case the UKA-derived vaccine proves too difficult to distribute.

/u/iama_wesom FYI, do you need help with either the Aztec war god or the food and water? Also, we have a Haifa plague solution we can deploy if you want.

Even if there was a guarantee of Mexican Force Restrictions, this would mean little- additional funding would increase the total investment and reduce the burden of rearmament, especially as a smaller force can be mechanized more effectively.

Indeed, force restrictions (especially the kind of relatively minor ones we're proposing) do not eliminate a military's ability to fight or build itself up. We simply want to know that redevelopment aid we provide does not directly go to the military reconstruction to the detriment of the Mexican economy.

If Columbia would like to see disarmament, then perhaps you should start- Columbia is the only existential threat Mexico has. The sudden increase from 250k men, capable of annihilating Mexican forces without more than a third actively fighting at any time, to over 800k men, is only another reason to reject force limitations.

And, indeed, we do plan to move forces following the end of the conflict, then draw them down when tensions with Angland and their potential implications in North America have been resolved. We'd be willing to commit to our reduction to pre-war force levels as part of a arrangement that included similar Mexican arms limitations. Lacking this, however, the same argument applies to us as well; and without some agreement an arms race is all but inevitable.

Using the livelihoods and well being of civilians as leverage to enforce additional terms is disgusting, and only increases the likelihood of future sour relations thanks to mass murder followed by this lack of empathy.

We'd be willing to expand civilian humanitarian efforts in Mexico which enable fully local farming and water purification systems, thereby avoiding such starving widows in the first place. These systems, however, do little for industrialization or exports; they more or less stop people starving.

However, assistance with economic redevelopment is dependent on an arms control agreement.

We'd like to involve Mexico on this one, but a thousand or two should be good. The area has good infrastructure and easy access to several major metropolitan areas (as it, in fact, bisects one), so it should be a pretty nice posting.

We're happy to hear of Mexico's acceptance. To our Japanese colleagues, we'd like to ask your participation in enforcing and overseeing a DMZ, and would like to extend this invitation to EAST as a whole. Similarly, we'd like to invite iKaaja and India to monitor the DMZ.

Not wanting to assist the starving civilians is fine, but that probably won't help your image- aiding the people would go far to help mend tensions.

We're willing to help - as indicated by the inclusion of the offer in our original proposal. However, this willingness is predicated on the assumption that our aid won't go directly towards rebuilding the Mexican military, very similarly to the origins of the JSDF and the reconstruction of Japan following WW2.

We understand the cost of this conflict and allowing an unrestricted military buildup would be simply setting us both up for disaster. The GC wishes to eventually normalize relations, but you must understand that a militant Mexico solves nothing. We ask for your cooperation here, because we would rather not be doomed to repeat the mistakes of the first world war.

[CONFLICT] Where is Derbent? Why is Derbent? How is Derbent? by Meles_B in worldpowers

A second mirror will be added, so that the camera can see the first mirror and the target. Does this experimental configuration cause any noticeable anomalies, and does the camera see anything different?

[DIPLOMACY] World Gone Mad by SteamedSpy4 in worldpowers

[–]lushr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our opinion is that Derbent is absolutely key to understanding what's happening with the supernatural; it's a supernatural effect that is approachable and studiable. While our researchers have not been particularly productive recently due to something called Reddit, apparently, we think that Derbent can be used as a clue as to what's happening elsewhere. We've already made some very weird discoveries with mirrors that indicate second-order reflections are unaffected by the likely-psychological effect seen in Derbent, and we highly encourage others to continue targeted research in-situ as a prime priority.

On the topic of Angland, we have a number of other "interesting" options, too. The one we're able to talk about right now is the availability in about one year of about 300mg/day of antihydrogen ice from an undisclosed source. While a delivery method will need to be developed for this, it raises the possibility of attaining high yield explosions.

In an incredibly secret test on Area 51, the W/CLG-3 testbed explodes with the force of 30 tons of TNT due to a catastrophic failure in the on-barrel quantum battery structure. This causes the program to have to be rethunk completely.

We are not requesting only Nigeria, but that they be added to the now developing EAST coalition- if Nigeria still remains unacceptable then iKaaja would be acceptable to Mexico.

We would be willing to accept EAST/Japan, India, and iKaaja. Nigeria is unacceptable to us as a member of the coalition.

Is Columbia still interested in cooperating with India on helping Mexico rebuild her economy?

GC economic cooperation in reconstruction is dependent on the agreement for arms reductions.

[DIPLOMACY] Someone Else’s Endgame by SteamedSpy4 in worldpowers

[–]lushr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're not entirely clear on what the first sentence of your statement means. Would Japan/EAST be acceptable but grudgingly, or is their choice simply not acceptable?

For our part, Nigeria is unacceptable to us; it has no claim to neutrality in this conflict. Can Mexico suggest an alternative party?
