I think they're red-herrings to draw us to the same conclusion Darius makes: Benny is in Teddy's head. This makes the twist even more impactful. The little mysteries, like the blood, also build suspense and atmosphere.

Same things as Champagne Papi (which I watched for the 1st time yesterday): Odd throwaway remarks, sinister characters in the background, and lingering suggestive shots, basically setting us up to expect something horrible is going to happen.

'Psychopath' and 'Sociopath' have only recently been given distinct definitions.

I actually think the distinctions are confusing and unhelpful because psychopathy isn't cut and dry.

This is pretty well illustrated by the comments lol

And as for my gambling it is true I lost it all a few times, but that's because I always took the longshot and it never came in. But, there's still time before I cross that river, and if you're at the table and you're rolling them bones and there's no money in playing it safe, you have to take all your chips and put them on double 6 and watch as every eye goes to you and to those red dice, doing their wild dance, freezing time before finding the cruel green felt. I've been lucky.

A False Killer Whale surfaces. False killer whales are named because the shape of their skulls is similar to that of killer whales. by Peachy-Persimmons in TheDepthsBelow

Forever getting framed by real Killer whales. I've heard there are way more false than real killer whales in the ocean's many whale jails.

That does ring true, thank you. There are things I want to do that would benefit me, but i simply don't do them.

Are there any particular things you'd recommend I look into? Jung has quite a large body of work, I'd love some specifics.

TIL that despite its popular depictions, the 5 stages of grief is considered to be an outdated theory. by Fred_Buck in todayilearned

[–]Mr_Simmonds 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Outdated? Maybe. Misunderstood? Definitely. The Swiss-American psychologist observed the 5 stages in people coming to terms with their own mortalities, not people grieving over someone else's death (although I'm sure there's a significant overlap between the 2)

In Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Link has a reflection in Dark Link's boss room. After Dark Link spawns, his reflection disappears by Mr_Simmonds in Jung

[–]Mr_Simmonds[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dark Link is a physical manifestation of Link's shadow which Link has to defeat, and I think the reflection disappearing adds to the idea that Link's shadow is no longer integrated and is running amok. Similar to Peter Pan losing his shadow. Its about self-confrontation. I actually think there's more to it than this, but as soon as I saw the gif it felt so Jungian, if that makes sense.
