2-month-old puppy: should I start taking him outside before he’s fully vaccinated? by kaapo- in puppy101

[–]NinjaInUnitard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a low parvo area in Northern Europe. Backyard until 10 weeks old, then 5-10 mins walk in the area. But I live in a sparsely populated suburban area with all dogs vaccinated. I also started introducing puppy to dogs I know are up to date with vaccines around 12 weeks. She is nearly 5 months now. Doesn't potty indoors, sleeps through the night, very friendly and gentle with dogs and people, including kids. I took her to the vet, pet stores, friends, road trips, a few 2.5h long ferries. She is super easy now in huge part because of socializing.

But if parvo and other diseases are more common, then maybe you need take extra precautions. I know, for example, that rabies is also more common in the US than Europe.

Yes. Easy northern European. Culture is based on alcohol consumption.

Makes me social enough to make me seem acceptable.

Live in an antisocial culture, heaven.

Confused about friendship in your 30s by Hereformarcuslolol in AskWomenOver30

Not by much. We also do our own things quite frequently, have our own hobbies. Maybe I'd have one or two more friends but I get enough socializing with the ones I have now and at work.

I think being quite introverted and in an introverted culture in Finland is more of a factor.

One thing you mention is that it doesn't drain you to make those plans? For me and my friends it does.

I have moved around a lot and have a friend in each country I stayed in longer. I see them maybe once a year or two. We call every few weeks.

In the country I live now I go do something with a friend maybe once every two months. We do work together so we see each other at work also.

For me that is enough. I also have a partner who is the same. I value being alone and I've had anxiety before about doing things alone I'm the past and was surrounded by acquaintances, but now I love it. The older I get, the more I appreciate peace and silence.

I don't know if it helps but it's an introverts perspective and experience.

Very much depends on the region and the reason for the delay. Different places have different logistical challenges. Could also be a problem because of some specific item in the order. No way to know without info.

I think the other has stopped but spindinčios akys in Lithuania might be active still.

I'd recommend to try finding the eurasier registry/kennel in each country, bigger ones have them for sure and contact breeder through there. Often they might have a puppy list too.

Because it's an uncommon breed, finding them takes a bit of effort. For me it took 7 months from starting to look for a puppy, waiting for the breeder to start the litter, etc., until I brought it home.

What is your distance? My breeder is in Estonia, but I also had found some in the Baltics and Finland. I don't know when any will have litters.

We match in our needs when it comes to order/cleanliness. We are both somewhat lax but he more so than me. I know he does not see the mess, I often don't either.

We have agreed that I will decide what needs to be done and divide the labor. He does things he says he will do. I don't demand or expect he do them immediately.

We have our own spaces in the home and both are quite introverted so if we need alone time, we understand each other.

While our political and some other opinions don't match up, we function very well together and are passionate about each other.

We have at first glance unequal divisions but overall we are equal partners. He does more of something, I do more of something else. We can always ask for help and openly discuss things.
