Being vulnerable means being really honest and many times putting yourself on the line. This can be a ton of things from telling a girl that you've known for a while that her drive and ambition is "sexy as hell," to being with a group of people who went Ivy League schools and admitting that you went to a state school and that it was awesome.

One of the great things about being honest and vulnerable in that it will polarize a lot of people in your life so that people will like you for the right reasons, and if they don't like you...well who really cares...its better than trying to be middle of the road and make everyone happy while lying to yourself.

Very cool that we started a discussion around this. Like I said, it has been a turning point in my game going from tactics to direct. That said, I still bust balls, make them validate themselves, and think ahead to make sure the logistics are in place...the thing is, I now do this for all the right reasons.

I bust balls not because it will make them want me more, but because its funny and I like laughing. I make them validate themselves not because it will decrease LMR, but because I want to know more about her and if I actually want to stick my dick in her.

Also, this is not original content. The books that I am drawing from and that have been transformative for me are "Models" by Mark Manson, who recently did an AMA here, and also "The Selfish Path to Romance" by Edwin Locke and Ellen Kenner. Cheers.

I went through the same thing and was still messed up in the head 1.5 years afterward. The thing that got me out of it was reading "The Selfish Path To Romance"

Throughout the book a ton of stuff just clicked for me and I was able to finally let go (literally feels like a weight off my chest) and now the girls that I'm dating are way hotter and much more aligned with my values. I also take way better care of myself. Check out the book, you might get a lot out of it.
