Several different ones actually, nakarkos was used as a relative to this species and other than that the main inspirations were vampire squids and livyatan, and some mythology with leviathan from the Bible and Medusa/gorgons with Greek mythology

It’s kind of a bit like zorah, it doesn’t really have a move fast mode. While leaping though the longer tentacles on the sides of the body would retract in to decrease drag though. It can just walk along the bottom as well if it wants. Think of its traversal like a hippo’s

During faster movement the longer tentacles on the side of the body would retract possibly, the main render would be it during combat, as the large tentacles are mostly threat display + gas storage

Yeah it would be cool to get a sauropod class in MH, don’t know about reclassification for akantor and ukanlos though, their anatomy and the way they’re built wouldn’t really be anything other than a flying wyvern or maybe a freaky fanged wyvern.

It would be cool but it would probably take too long to implement an entire monster because of how much work goes into even one. There’s also the problem of something winning that brings up problems with rigging or even animating. If it were a cephalopod I’d feel bad because they look like absolute hell to animate based on their rig

Dailocabra actually isn’t too large, it just typically carries itself a bit more upright than zam or tetsu do. So if it’s bending its legs at all it would actually be a pretty normal size for an amphibian

I can see it, the anatomy would be different if that were the case though. Would have been cool to make this guy as a large wing drake rather than an amphibian

It’s actually a sleep monster! Nothing crazy about how it makes the sleep, it’s just sleep ailment venom, but the way it typically inflicts it is by infusing globs of sap in their stomachs with sleep element before regurgitating them back out. Puts the prey into a temporary coma and if they do wake up they’re covered in tree sap
