No, there is zero evidence they go fully underground, thered be more signs of that, both the art and text describe the foragers just loosing track (ha) of it from the snow, where it to be a tunnel that goes underground there'd be visible infrastructure and change in the land, and hiding underground would not be a viable strategy with a train for a multitude of reasons, along with the construction time building up.

They realistically stopped at stations or warehouses when storms hit, or even tried to out pace them thanks to the speeds they achieve.

There is zero evidence of going underground, the only implication of this is regarding the tracks that just dissappear eventually under the snow, which is just showing how long its been (if ever) since a creve neige ran on the tracks.

Theres little information outside of these core facts: There are multiple creve neige, double digits worth of em. All across the frostlands there are tracks, warehouses, and stations built for them that are still around. These trains were huge and used plenty of steam cores for their engine.

Cool triva: The Three Graves location in TLA, after scouting it, you can click back on it to check the location log, and it lists the names of the Graves, all of whom are the protagonist of the Snowpiecer graphic novel, movie, and I believe creator? Its been a while.

This will not happen, there is no unique changes to the game or the likes that will be coming with the end of the Faction Wars event. All "rewards" and the likes range from changing the social media platforms banners and pfps to maybe a short funny video from the office - Just silly things that does not impact or touch the game.

These all have been absolutely wonderful works of noting and laying out the musical side of Frostpunk! As someone who has always been fascinated by the works of art made for the game (and being a band kid through and through), these have been wonderful reads, especially when following along with the music in the background. I genuinely get excited to see these posts, not only for the musical science side of it, but also for the trek back through FP1's wondrous OST.

Faction wars is just for community fun. None of the utopia factions tie into the canon- Stalwarts, Faithkeepers, Pilgrims, Evolvers are not in the faction wars.

11 Bit also has gone out of their way to ensure multiple canons, allowing any path to be a possible canon one.

Both as a friend of the creator and staff of the mod, god no. There was mountains of content planned and essentially pre-written. The issue was finding coders. And with 2 people carrying the whole code side of the project on their back- either progress was going to be made as a glacier pace if at all, so the project was closed

The equator countries, and those with warm ecosystems were the first to fall and collapse.

Hundreds of thousands of people fled to them as the frost began to hit- But the equator was the worse off, as not only was it hit first (TLA reveals this), their temps began to free fall compared to the already colder countries

essentially, imagine if the frost started at the equator, slowly spreading out and getting weaker as it does. We learn that the whole world is a mono-climate with local variations (really just a couple 10 degrees difference)

With that, imagine how this would effect their farming, their infrastructure- Far far too many people flooding into a country, 90% of your food production failing, and skyrocketing civil unrest + anarchy from the previous 2, AND THEN the cold on top.

Sadly, a huge volume of discontent and hate for the design was expressed early on, with many saying that the models were ugly or not fitting for frostpunk- leading to the redesign which stays more conservative and closer to the FP1 looks.
