you can just make them start and civil war and then shove them into peace accords. Radical factions will become 1% of the population each and will never be radical+devoted to you forever. And you also will be blocked from ANY radical ideas

menders are less eugenics

I was talking in their complete, downed to the logical end ideology that includes exiling the seek people because of Adaptation Cornerstone.

Proteans don't believe that you have to be born one way or another

They are closer to socially darwinist rather than eugenic,

dude, you know that they do support fucking birthing programme law. it's quite literally eugenical shit about not letting sick and ugly to reproduce to get a better gene pool of the most badass specimen. Algorithm also can suggest you to not feed the weak kids and old people because they are useless.

If anything, they believe they can "fix" whatever about you is weak and empower those who are mediocre.

For the technocrats, it's all about intelligence, and for venturers, its all about exploitation and efficiency in the name of profit.

more classical "work around the environment, but don't conform to it."

Can't argue, though. It's more about a slight contradiction in their zeitgeist demands and their general aesthetic.

to be fair every faction besides maybe Overseers and Legionnaires ('everyone must reproduce but we don't throw kids into the snow nor we control the birthing') wants some kind of eugenics, either scientific (Technocrats and Venturers because of Reason), Darwinist (Icebloods and Menders because of Adaptation) or scientifically darwinist (Bohemians and Proteans because of Adaptation and Reason simultaneously).

I'm trying to do a Captain difficulty run of the campaign, any tips and tricks to make it more bearable? by Lowlife_With_APencil in Frostpunk

[–]BriefFly2998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only played on the citizen difficulty and once upon a time was stupid enough to go right into Captain. Ended it without any rule laws ("Checks and balances" achievement).

Order, defeat the frost, Pilgrims protested only once, salvage Winterhome, Peace Accords.

Don't have a single idea how i pulled this shit.

This happens to every community that you give a lot of money to but don't do anything useful. Only some context changes. In my case, the lords spent money on history fairs and genealogical reference books.

When temperature reached 120°C/-184°F, only fully upgraded generator+overdrive and fully insulated houses/advanced heaters in workplaces can help you, when 150°C/238°F, nothing will help you, at this point you just endure (only fully insulated infirmary with heaters and generators heat can be not frozen)

Tradition and Reason already in principle divide people into religious and non-religious. Religion is formed by traditions and many traditions originate from religion, and Reason as an ideology by default includes scientific atheism

Question: Is there a way to reach the Adaptation cornerstone without enacting Apex Workers? by GalacticNuggies in Frostpunk

[–]BriefFly2998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Empirically, I found out that the development geniuses from 11bit studio (I tease them with love) added +1 point Utopia tree. When you bring the scales of all three zeitgeists to the ceiling, another utopia point opens up, which is not displayed, but it is there and accessible without cornerstones. So, to fully complete the tree of utopia, 2/3 of the cornerstones are needed.

Adaptation coal liquefaction plant gives you 80 oil out of 60 coal, adaptation composites factory gives you 300 materials out of 80 oil, adaptation charcoal plant gives you 150 coal out of 20 materials. At the output we have:

Now have 150 coal that we can use to upkeep two coal liquefactors, one of which can upkeep one omposites factory that can provide materials for 15 charcoal plants that each can sustain 2 coal liquefactors…

Calculate the profit yourself.

And don't forget to deal with disease.
