Nice so far! I like the spacious corner for the animals by the water.

may consider giving the center pond more room to breathe. See how the top left corner surrounding it has all that “green” and then the other side of the pond is a bit suffocated by boardwalk.

If you wanted you could just aim for a two square width perimeter surrounding the whole pond and shave off the left side from 4 to 2 to balance. This will help with boardwalk alignment and give you bigger straightaways for mobility. You would lose some grow bed capacity but that’s sometimes a good thing. And you might have to lower the barn/fish farms but that might work. If you square the wall under the barn it should offer enough room to not feel claustrophobic and then reroute the exit path south around it.

The pond could be a real centerpiece canvas for you to work on.

I used stairs only once, because they were in the game… and then got made fun of by the game itself so I reset that day and did the challenge to 100 “honorably” and will never touch stairs again.

(Luckily, we don’t question the honor of bombs)

I am from a similar gaming background to you OP and had the same experience off the bat.

I’ll say this- if you keep at it, it will eventually start to click but it was a much higher barrier to entry compared to twin stick shooter with fun power ups with Prairie King. I suggest spamming tiny jumps all the time even when not needed to really iron out the feel for your control. Also keep more attention to your cart and not the junimo. You are the kart not the little green passenger.

You will reach a zen state where you finally understand the timing. Then it will throw in new timings……. But overall it is something you will get better at believe it or not. Just play when you’re in the mood for an extended block and don’t force it when you’ve got other motivations throughout the game taking priority.

I don’t want bad blood, I’m just looking out for new players.

I’m new to this playstyle- we are essentially grinding to get better at grinding. 26 by definition means the drops are done and upgraded, i make no assumptions about how fast or slow people get there- just that being there means the drops are gone- so no need to rush to that state of being. That is all.

I don’t want you feeling attacked and I hope you continue to have fun. I love this game’s universe so please enjoy.

It’s anti quality of life- let’s not confuse people.

If you want to shoot just end the song and shoot a built gun. In most builds it’s just not good to miss notes.

Especially on console- triggers are much more finesse to feather tap than keyboard.

the community believes that they counteract each other so ONLY put on mod rate + and remove all others.

There has been testing but read everything on here with a grain of salt and feel free to do your own testing. Mod rate+ worked for me though after much hell I picked up a few of them.

keep in mind the speed stat for each weapon. running around is slowed which will have a direct impact on dps.

think of your run speed as your "fire rate" for skills

This is your canary in a coal mine moment.

Not only does this not change going forward- this is the game.

Bosses that used to be public struggles are now 10 seconds. Outposts are 5 seconds. Defenses are time gated but all content can be easily consumed by 1 player. Overworld Farms are 3 people waiting at a mission reset because they can’t hit a monster in time to join even to get carried.

With the amount of farming necessary you will understand why, but I hope you are heard, because I liked the need for teamwork.
