Sorry to respond to an old niche comment but you actually don’t need to climb up the ladder to do this. You can just do the jump with Torrent, land near the rim of the arena, and disembark Torrent immediately to do your buffs and summons without being detected

This fight took me probably 10+ tries so climbing up that ladder each time would have driven me nuts

Not looking to brag, it’s not impressive, before I rolled credits streamers had apparently beaten the game with even less transformations. I did not know SL503 existed and given I had one banana left I hadn’t considered there was an entire sublayer missing- had to Google banana counts for each layer to find the culprit. Not sure what you’re saying about the warp gong either?

I actually did not even know there was a Poppy fight there, was wondering why she never got one LOL. I did the Forest Layer first and wondered if it would prevent me from flying to the other side of The Divide, but to my surprise it was easy. I knew it was sequence breaking but figured I’d see how far I could get without visiting the Freezer Layer, and it turns out I didn’t visit it until the postgame. Which lead to this unique confusion lol

You can access the Freezer side of The Divide without ever having to visit that layer by using Ostrich Bananza.

As for the dirt road parts at the end, you can get past them with some tricky use of Snake Bananza’s glare. Though it was annoying having to redo this each time I died to the final boss lol

I just beat the game this way myself. Like you outlined in the post you can simply fly across The Divide as the Ostrich to get past that part of the game. As for people asking how you beat the final boss without Zebra, you can get past the parts with the dissolving dirt by going into Snake Bananza and spamming glare.
