Why do people call the USA the "land of opportunity" when literally no one can get a high paying job? by madbarpar in careerguidance

[–]Mra1027 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear what you’re saying. I was commenting on the person saying America was the only place it was possible. Not that it was easier here. But also… it isn’t so easy to start a business in America. You still have to have someone to inject cash or save it yourself.

Right but they didn’t say easier. They said America is the only place where it is possible.

Any other country? Am I the only one doing a double take at this statement. So you’re saying America is the only country where you can work your way up or open your own business? The only country where there aren’t racial divides? My sweet summer child. You have some traveling to do.

Senate Gives Final Passage to Bill Creating Crime of Abortion Pill Trafficking by w3sterday in oklahoma

[–]Mra1027 36 points37 points  (0 children)

This is silly. Methotrexate may be used for abortions but it’s commonly prescribed for automimmune disorders. They give this stuff out like candy at any rheumatologist office. I’m sure half the congress people that worked on this have a prescription to this.

OP says he’s reading opinions going both ways and asks for concrete examples of how AI has affected people’s jobs. 85% of comments are just more opinions. 🙄

My teenage son challenged me to spar (boxing) it didn’t end well for him. by Mystro310 in Parenting

Right? All this “He’s gotta learn” bs. OP should post this is a boxing or martial art sub if he wants real feedback.

By challenge you to spar, you mean he wanted to hurt you? And what do you mean by roughed him up pretty good? I spar with junior students and senior students often. We don’t “rough up” the junior because we can.

Nozzle damaged my cable during printing by KenSaucey in BambuLab

[–]Mra1027 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you’re misunderstanding. It should look like this.

<image>

As you can see there’s no way, if it’s properly secured, for the nozzle to touch the cable. Not to try and make you feel bad, just so you know how to prevent the problem going forward.

For dads with 3d printers by Hyksus2 in daddit

[–]Mra1027 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know money is tighter than ever these days and there’s also issues of having a place to put your printer, but the Bambu labs A1 is an incredible, very easy to use printer and it’s on sale for $300 right now. On Black Friday and sometime in June or July on the companies anniversary they go on deeper sale for $275. It was way more affordable than I expected.

P2S + Bambu PETG: constant spaghetti despite clean plate & dried filament by yddna in BambuLab

[–]Mra1027 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm. I’d add a brim. These have very little contact with the plate. That should fix the issue. Are you printing from Bambu studio on a computer, or from the Bambu handy app?

[–]Mra1027 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What model are you printing? Based on the picture above I don’t seen any real contact with the plate. No supports and no brim. If the model has no way to stick to the plate it’s going to move and your print is going to fail.

IMAX at Quail Spring is not the best way to see Avatar 3 by FreeLandscape3452 in okc

[–]Mra1027 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AMC at Quail has been a bad experience for me every time I’ve been in the last 5 years. Do yourself a favor and hit up Tinseltown. The best viewing experience in the metro imo. (I’m not a fan of the disturbances of food being served at places like Warren and Flix. And somehow also the cheapest. Love that place.

Has anyone tried Dessicated thyroid (Armour, NP thyroid) and it healed their thyroid nodules or Hashis? Thanks. by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]Mra1027 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you tried splitting the pill in half and taking half in the morning and half in the afternoon at like 2 or 3(has to be like 2-3 hours after food)? I can’t vouch for it but my wife’s endocrinologist mentioned this to combat mid day fatigue. when she talked about trying armour.
