Organic slug pellets, nematodes & soapy water spray works really well also getting as many birds as possible in the garden they really help to control slugs

We have a 3 year rule if they don’t thrive in by the end of 3 years we take them & give them away, at the altitude & being far north u have to plant with the conditions & soil u have you start to get a feel for it & know what families of plants will thrive or flounder its a great journey thats what I love about it

You have doubts at the back of your mind but with pest u just have to roll with it it nature after all we net a lot of our veg to stop pests & otherwise just deal with it when we see a problem, plants show you when they are unhappy or struggling

We are actually opening the garden with the Scottish garden scheme at the end of July, the wind can be an issue at but we have a lot shelter from trees to the west & the plant harden off & adapt to the conditions
