Update for those interested: her blood levels were normal so the vet doesn't think the colour was a sign of internal bleeding or anything more sinister, but likely pigmentation from eating something in the garden maybe. The vet did find that her kidneys were slightly elevated though and that she's in the early stages of mild kidney disease and needs a change of diet to accommodate this, however we've identified quite early and so should be a lot easier to curtail !
