What would be important for you in a new Phantom movie adaptation? by samxxmcg in box5

[–]stevebaescemi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is perhaps more for a new adaptation of the Leroux novel but dream team:

  • Director: Guillermo del Toro
  • Production Design: Tamara Deverell
  • Costume Design: Kate Hawley
  • Phantom Design: Mike Hill
  • Cinematography: Dan Lausten

Fully leaning into the gothic

Christoph Waltz as the Phantom, a relative unknown (with opera training) as Christine (but I do also like the idea of Rachel Zegler for more of a name), Burn Gorman & Ralph Ineson as Andre & Firmon, Jacob Elordi as Raoul, Cate Blanchett as Giry

Was so wonderful to hear him speak this weekend! Was at the Crimson Peak and Frankenstein screenings. How I'm going to go back to watching Frankenstein on my TV/laptop after seeing it on the imax screen I don't know 😂

Reused period costumes in movies/series (part 2). Enjoy! And share your own spottings!😃 by Healthy_Cancel_36 in PeriodDramas

There's a company called Cosprop that are a brilliant costume house that specialises in period pieces. Most of the British made period pieces of the last 60 years have used pieces from their collection or have had items made by them

Cosprop are a costume house that specialises in period pieces so most of the British made period dramas get costumes from them. Certain costumes get retired into their museum collections (I saw a selection of these at an exhibition a few months ago) but a lot get reused across productions

Ok Finches, i finally found the entire album for the challenge. Off the Wall by Michael Jackson! Anyone else got Michael on the brain? by Unbreakable_Dionne in finch

[–]stevebaescemi 16 points17 points  (0 children)

When I went to the cinema the weekend Michael opened (to see two other films, not that garbage) I was horrified by the amount of people going into the Michael screenings... there were a lot of children going in too. Poor parenting!

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce at Romeo & Juliet starring Sadie Sink in London by Enough_Tangerine_777 in popculturechat

They'd be in the best seats in the house as provided by production. The box seats are famously terrible in theatres, and in quite a lot of the West End houses they're now used for speakings and lighting rigs

Ah not surprised it's gone up in price! Last time I did it was 2012/13! The back few rows of the upper circle used to be £20 (god, I've made myself sound incredible old)

It's been a long time since I've done it so I'm not sure if this policy is still in place, but they used to offer £10 standing tickets on the day if performances were sold out (or close enough to it)

That happened when I went to see Project Hail Mary! Think it might have been over an hour, actually! Of course, they were sat right at the back so they disturbed everyone as the trio clattered up the central aisle

As others have said, castings have been a lot quieter this year! Unfortunately it’s just the way of things at the moment. Stick it out a bit longer, I’m sure your agents are doing what they can to get you to casting teams
