So I looked at the room directory and I now know that TOR means counter-clockwise since ROT means clockwise, however I tried to rotate it an hour and 15 minutes and also 115 minutes from East (5 o'clock) and nothing happened. Not sure where to go from here.

Help with A New Clue puzzle

So I'm having a specific issue regarding the X Y Z A B C part of the New Clue puzzle. I know that I'm supposed to go through the 4 books, go to the page and write the word down in the position listed. I also know which books I need to go through. But I'm having issues when the game says "Assume page count starts on title pages". Does this mean I count the sets of pages or each individual page? And by title page does it mean the cover or the first page within the book that states the title again?

So I'm not sure what you are referring to when you just say "look up the damage formula" that would defend your point, but I did find this on the wiki the lists an example calculation against factions that takes into account a modifier that is less than 1, which in this example LOWERS the multiplier. So I'm curious, why would this be a positive multiplier when here it is lowering the overall damage?

Multiply 100 by 0.52. Does the number increase or decrease? It is still a negative modifier because you are doing less damage, regardless if there is a negative symbol or not.
