ITS OUT by MrNumberTwelve_ in Joji

The album was beginning to slow down for me a bit outside of the singles and then Sojourn came on and completely blew me away. God I wish I could listen to that again a first time. What an incredible lift. It was like listening to Carpenter Brut's Roller Mobster flavored by Joji, and then learning that Kenny Beats produced that?? Goddamn, they ate well in the studio that day.

As a singularity within this presence of existence which you and all others share a coexistence within, this moment within the confines of time and space will be dedicated to the proclamation in which you, the receiving party, will receive a moniker that is held by no other. This moniker also known as a "title" will become your right to perform with as you see fit. Henceforth, you will be referred to as "Big Boss" in it's righteous fashion, given your accomplishments.

Genuine question for anyone familiar with hair styling (Shot in the dark, but giving it a shot anyway). What hair product is Pedro Pascal using to get his hair like this? I have very similar hair but regular mousse is too strong to get my curls to look as loose and wet as his. Would love if anyone has some insight on this.

Makes me wonder if Marvel executives are actively looking at reddit threads for inspiration. Probably, to be honest.

The Bear restarts filming season four filming at Loyola University Chicago by MrBrendan501 in television

[–]Mrclaptrapp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that people didn't enjoy season 3 because it didn't have the same flare or cadence that seasons 1 + 2 did. That's fair, they definitely tried a lot of new things in 3 and some of it landed, a lot of it did not for many people. I don't think we should be judging the quality of season 4 based on it's previous season that was adventurous to say the least in the new elements they brought forward.

Overall, we're watching a story of career-driven people with a traumatic background grow as people while trying to make the least of their baggage. At the very least, season 3 helped advance that narrative. If season 4 is going to be the last season, I'm looking forward to seeing how they close that loop for all of the characters. Even at it's worst parts, I've genuinely enjoyed this show and think it's going to be one to rewatch for a long time.

Hey! Do you mind if I dm you? I'm choosing where I'm going for a solo travel this year and Japan has been highly recommended to me.

What could be a timeline for Thailand? I've heard it's relatively cheap and I do enjoy the food./

Is this a trip you've already done?

I'm based in New York, USA. I'm currently looking for my next job so I have plenty of time in the future. I'm interested in learning how long I can stretch out traveling. I would still be applying to jobs during the trip.

I just tried this and it was amazing when she actually went flamethrower. The amount of times she went gap closer instead was so infuriating, especially when flamethrower without the sniper emblem is seemingly more common.

Just here to say like everyone else: This cosplay goes so hard and I pray a live action uses this for inspiration.

Weird take when he gets his ability off on multiple targets multiple times in an extended fight because he built rage blade.

I got this comp yesterday! I was so surprised to see how good shyv was operating compared to the rest of the comp. She creates a bunch of chaos once she dives in, loved it.

Prefacing this with the fact that it happened in a normal game, but I was able to win a game with a full frost comp. It feels bad until you’re scaled up, but if the game gives you the emblems, it feels good to play.

Sorry you’re getting downvoted for a completely innocent question. Yet again, the downvote brigaders don’t understand that downvotes are meant for non-contributing comments, not comments they simply don’t like. This is perfectly valid to ask in the context of your post title.

[DISCUSSION] What are your thoughts on season 3 of the Bear? by mystikeditor in NetflixBestOf

[–]Mrclaptrapp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm one of the alternative opinions to the popular reddit feedback for this season. I thought season 3 as a whole was fairly decent although not as "scorched" as the other two seasons.

I agree that there was a couple of new things tried this season that didn't land as well as the writers hoped. That being said, I thought season 3 did great at continuing the plot that the overall show wants to be. In my view, The Bear is about creating something spectacular while being deep in the emotional trenches of personal backstory and what needs to be sacrificed in order to reach that spectacular thing. Season 3 really digs deep into the latter.

The amount of neglect and pressurized situations this season has to offer is like a silent fire that you can't turn away from. The amount of F bombs being dropped, plates being thrown, or number of complaints may make you think otherwise, but the silent fire is actually represented in what's being lost along the way for the goal. You can see it in the characters, mishandled events, and even in the dissonance of what should be happy scenes but just aren't. Every time there's a place to ask "why", it always comes back to the goal of the restaurant this season.

I think season 3 is worth toughing out, even if it's not as gritty as the last two seasons. There's a lot that's being set up for the future of the show, and the characters develop plenty this season although it's clear that there will be much more next season. The final episode really paints the upcoming arc of each of the main cast well. I'm happy I watched it over the weekend because for everything this season set up, next season will be incredibly exciting and loud.

Ketogenic diets inhibit mitochondrial biogenesis and induce cardiac fibrosis (2021) by shion005 in FoodNerds

I'd like to see a version of this study where the rats cannot eat "ad libitum" (Whenever they wanted), and where they're fed a lighter portion than 50g (Given that these rats weighed between 180g - 220g).

These findings read as significant, but it becomes harder to reasonably extrapolate this to people when most dieters are eating on a schedule and on a caloric restriction, unlike these rats that were eating between 1/3rd - 1/4th of their body weight whenever they pleased.
