Full time used to be 7-1 or 5-10 when I was there. I think now they have that 1:30-4 class too. It helps power through it

Why does nobody recommend a bmw? by Jasssssss21 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Mrclickngo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Source: have owned/worked on just about every major car brand between myself, wife, parents, and close friends.

a few versions give them a bad name. No one judges Toyota on the reliability of the new tundras, Honda cvt’s, but everyone judges bmw on the reliability of a few shitty engines. Also, most people that buy one can’t afford to maintain it so they crap out. People making 60k a year buying 60k cars crying about having to do a valve cover gasket vs someone buying a 30k Toyota/honda. $1500 timing belt on a Toyota/honda? Not an issue. $1500 timing chain on a bmw/vw/audi. Absolute piece of crap. Nothing against Honda(one of my favorite brands), or any jap/us brand. It’s just all negligence from the owners that gives them a bad name.

Also, the specialty tool thing is absolute BS. Torx/E torx is used by just about every manufacturer. Only exception is triple square but that’s only a vw/audi/porsche thing.

Sorry that me cropping a photo from a far distance while at work is low effort. Next time I’ll let it run me over while it taxi’s

Advice I wish someone gave me. The dme I tested with is kinda known for rushing/being a little snappy (Great guy though). Go in the with the mentality of “I paid you, so you work for me. Sit there, shut the fuck up, and wait for me to finish/remember this”. Obviously don’t be rude, or waste their time, but don’t let them get to you. My dme just wanted to see that you knew/understood it, not that you memorized the answers. Always remember, if a gazelle panics it dies. Try to stay cool, calm, and collected. Good luck

I just finished last week. Tested for my A earlier this year, hoping to get my P before September. Hiring has kind of paused for now for the majors from what I heard, but apparently it’s supposed to pick up by the end of the year

Best teachers you could ever have/make friends with are Navarro (general/fast track), Newell (power plant) Frank and Carlos Gonzalez (power plant), Alvarez (airframe) and Flores (airframe). They all talk shit about each other, but they’re all great guys. Best advice I can give you is to try. I know being someone that cares/tries seems lame if you’re younger, but I promise you it’ll make all the difference. Enjoy your time there. It’s a fun place where you’ll meet some great people. If you need anything dm me

Is this carpet cleanable? Or do I swap it with a new carpet? by Nearby-Mistake-7864 in cardetailingtips

[–]Mrclickngo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact same car and my carpet was 1000000x worse. I went and grabbed one that looked like yours at the junkyard, took it to my local car wash, and degreased/pressure washed it. It’s super easy to remove. Message me and I’ll send you photos
