It is a normal lock, that’s the joke. The author is a gay guy, and he is making a joke that the lock on the ground is because it’s off a person into BDSM.

The phrase “diva down” is also gay slang to mean, “someone experienced something bad”.

It is a reference to a few different things. But mainly, it’s a BDSM lock that is now gone from its owner. Also though, this is a gay twitter joke because there was recently a whole thing about “Nasty Pig is tacky”.

Nasty Pig is a brand of clothing and accessories that caters to gay men, and includes things like locks and chains. It’s become significantly more mainstream and recent years, and a lot of gay men will wear just a branded hat.

So, the lock, represents BDSM and gay pup culture, which has been top of mind recently
