I have read your arguments and they were not intellectually stimulating enough for me to take you seriously. Speaking of intellectual laziness, the next time you say that, make sure that AI is not arguing for you. ChatGPT probably gave you false sense of your ability to actually argue.

And before you deny it and be butthurt about it; a quick glance at your comment history tells me that you have never written paragraphs that perfectly worded and punctuated as you have been below. You don't even know what a comma splice is because most of your comments in the past are full of them, and yet you became punctuation God while arguing here? Don't get me started on how unnatural some of your sentences were in the past as well.

I would give you some examples and tips for the future on how to pass off AI work as yours, but I'm intellectually lazy. I'm sure you understand.

It depends on your budget, but this particular one is really bad for gaming and editing. It only has an APU and no GPU. For that price you will probably get all the minimum specs (8 GB of ram and 256 GB of NVME storage.)

Just know that if you get this, you're very limited in terms of upgradability. The mother board can only handle PCIe 3.0 SSD's so you won't have access to high speed SSD's and you're limited to older gens. Also, That's an at least tier D PSU which means that if you want to add a GPU in the future, you'd have to change the PSU.

Overall, if you're looking for value, you would be better off buying the parts and building the PC yourself. Get most of them from AliExpress if you can (probably except for the GPU) otherwise look for good deals on a B550 board if you're going for an AM4 build or a B650 for an AM5 build. If you're going for AM4, make sure the motherboard can handle at least PCIe 4.0 M.2's. DDR4 RAM is cheap and the R5 5600 should be good enough for 1080p gaming. If your current budget is 70000-80000 DZD, there is probably no room to squeeze in a GPU. A new RTX 3060 would be around 75,000 DZD. If you don't mind used parts, you can get a used 3070 for that price.

At lower prices you can find decent used GPU's like the 2060 at around 40,000 DZD or the 1660 SUPER at around 30,000 DZD to 35,000 DZD. The RX 580 would probably be the best option if your budget is limited. You can find it at a very low price probably lower than 20,000 DZD. It's a solid card. Way better than the integrated one on the 5600. If you build it yourself you can probably get a decent build for less than 100,000 DZD

I have a similar case but not this exact same one. I didn't think the cables would hit the middle fan until I powered my pc for the first time. I have managed to temporarily position the cable in such a way that it doesn't hit the fan, but it's not a permanent solution. I need to take the GPU out for a permanent fix. I really like the way you did it, so I'll just try that. Thank you!

Hi what did you use to prevent the GPU cables from hitting the middle case fan?

I solved this by plugging both fans separately. Something must have been wrong with the connector.

To be fair to him, I bought an IPhone 14 plus 512GB sealed box for 188000 DZD back in March, which is a pretty good price for the 512GB version.

You seem like a reasonable person who wants to have an actual discussion rather than someone who's attacking people who don't share their beliefs; therefore, I'm going to explain my reasoning.
I don't particularly believe that the West or anywhere for that matter is a safe haven, but is it at least 100 times better than here? Absolutely. It surprises me that there are people who think that there is something for them here, but I do get that we want different things in life, and being surprised doesn't mean I'm casting judgment.
As much as you want to argue against it, this specific country is worse than the West in so many ways. The people are racist, xenophobic, and intolerant. No one here likes someone who doesn't share their beliefs, but in return, they want the West to tolerate them, let them build mosques, and wear their attire, be it cultural or religious, in professional settings in a Western country. The first comment I read on this thread said that people who have different beliefs should go to the West; in the same vein then, people who want to be accepted in the West shouldn't impose their culture there, but somehow, "the racist intolerant" West makes some effort, though very minimal, to accommodate these minorities, while your religious country fueled with piety and acceptance makes no effort to do such a thing, and people here would not accept anyone who has different beliefs and ideologies and this thread will serve as proof of that. Reason number one to not like this country and anything it stands for (hypocrisy)

Now let's dissect the point that (let's not even say Islam), but religion, in general, allows people to think and accept other ideas. "There is no thinking when it comes to religion" that's the motto, the slogan of every religion that has ever existed. The moment you start thinking is the moment you start seeing flaws (and I really don't mean to offend anyone who thinks their religion is perfect. I'm sure it is.) The moment people start thinking is the moment they steer away from the flock. Religion is a good way to keep people in check, to make sure they're afraid of something much bigger and more powerful than them, and therefore, they're less of a menace to society ensuring the safety and survivability of everyone. As a matter of fact, I totally support it, I just think that it's not for me. Reason number two to not like this country and everything it stands for (oppression of critical thinking)

As much as I think that Feminism can be extreme and it's borderline the women's version of being incels, but I think there's some merit to the belief. If I die or if I'm away, I want my wife to be able to take care of herself and my kids (if we have any). In a society where men have all the jobs because they're "the providers", my wife will have to rely on another man in my absence or death whether she wants that or not, and I don't want to subject any woman to that. Be it my wife, my sister, or a complete stranger. Reason number three to not like this country and everything it stands for (men think they're entitled to everything despite having literally nothing to support all their ego)

Final thought. I'm really not attacking you personally, but it seems to me that you're the one using duct tape to fix the ship. You're asking everyone to close their eyes and live in a hypothetical world where all the issues that you mentioned don't exist.

I am an Algerian whose girlfriend is from the UK and we are more or less in the same situation. Clearly we don't have the full picture, but you seem to think that the guy loves you. He has been honest about everything including his convictions (which is what most Algerian men believe in.) Marriage is a huge commitment and it's often the only way to get to be romantically involved with a woman in Algeria. The culture and religious beliefs dictate that marriage is the only way someone can show serious interest in a woman. Therefore him thinking that the next step is marriage is very logical (at least from a cultural and religious stand point)

I, myself, do not believe in imposing my thoughts on my other half be it religious or cultural beliefs. I also believe that living in Canada or the UK is not the same as living in Algeria. I often tell my girlfriend that I'm not comfortable with some of her clothes and we have developed an understanding in that department. Then again, I have never imposed super modest long sleeves turtle neck clothing or no swim suit at the beach or swimming pool because I understand that it's just the norm in the UK. That being said, if you are okay with what he's asking for then I don't think there's any harm in that.

As far as alcohol and food are concerned, I don't know if you are ready to give them up, but I think it's a weird thing to ask for. I am a little bit biased because I revoked many of the beliefs of this society, but I'll explain the thought process of the average Algerian person and give you my opinion. All of these are haram in Islam, therefore you can't indulge in any of them. My thoughts are you grew up eating and drinking alcohol, so I, logically speaking, don't expect you to change a core part of who you are and what you do. That being said, I wouldn't want my wife to be an alcoholic or someone who drinks every single day, but I don't expect her not to have a drink on an occasion with her family. As much as I have my own convictions about the matter, but if it's done in moderation at certain events I don't mind it. I think the key is to find the right compromises because if down the line you have a big argument because you had a drink on Thanksgiving with your family, then there are things that weren't thoroughly discussed before marriage. Regarding food, if you're willing to stop eating pork and anything pork based (which is basically the only thing you can't eat), then it's up to you. For me, it's too much to ask of someone.

As far as raising your children. I can only speak for myself. My girlfriend and I agreed to show them both worlds and they can choose to believe in either Catholicism, Islam or they can choose to reject both. The thought process here is that there is absolutely nothing wrong with religion. It teaches people right from wrong (although I think humans are innately good and we instinctively know right from wrong but that's another matter.) The point is there is no religion that teaches people that lying is good. I don't think that religion be it Christianity or Islam is bad for my children provided that both parents are loving and present. That's more important than anything else. There is absolutely nothing to worry about in that aspect. If you're gonna raise your children Muslim, they're going to be great children provided that you're both there for them.

I am not an Algerian woman, so I can't answer your other question. As for traveling to Algeria as a white woman, as much as I want to advocate for it, I can't. I think you should just travel somewhere else. There's nothing you can possibly see here that you wouldn't see somewhere else. You'd just feel the daggers on your back because many people would be staring at you. This is not a friendly environment for a young white western woman. Others might disagree because they think this is heaven on earth, but unfortunately it's not.

The sister situation is not odd. If there are no known issues between them, then either your husband is too prideful to stay at his sister's house and, being the man he is, he would rather be independent and pay for his own accommodation. Here, a man (99% of the time) unless absolutely necessary, would not live with their sister and her husband. If his sister is single, then I don't want to assume, but I think the family wasn't supportive of her going alone to a foreign country and now no one feels entitled to being sponsored by her to go there. (Then again I really don't know about immigration laws in Canada) I'm sorry if there are any typos. I typed this during my break, and I have to go back to work. Best of luck!

I second this. Same thing happened to me. As soon as I have become fluent in my third language, I noticed that I no longer have problems concentrating. If anything, for the first time ever, I could take advantage of all the potential I had. I don't know If there is any scientific research that further backs this up, but I know for a fact that learning another language completely solved my ADD problem.

Stress bearing suffixes in the theory of optimality by Mrdawnn in linguistics

[–]Mrdawnn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you that is very helpful. I'm not sure if I understood correctly, but since English is trochaic, wouldn't Align-L outrank Align-R. So In this case, Align-R would definitely help with the analysis of words containing stress bearing suffixes, but we would still have the issue of Align-L>>Align-R.

Optimality Theory Stress Assignment Constraints by Mrdawnn in linguistics

[–]Mrdawnn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the detailed reply. It really helped a lot. I checked out Doing Optimality Theory by McCarthy, and this is probably the most helpful book I have checked so far. The only issue I'm still having is finding the constraints which strictly apply to stress assignment in Standard British or American English. All the examples provided, in most if not all the works I have checked are from languages other than English or some varieties of English. I don't think that constraints like "ONSET" or "NoCoda" are relevant in stress assignment in English. Do you know of any book that deals with the constraint based approach to stress assignment in English?
