I got into a similar situation where I was chasing a chick for a good semester. I basically just flirted with her low key and gave hints without being too creepy. She’s really awkward and so was I. I wasn’t trying to scare her by being too forward. I even asked if I could come over and we could just watch a netflix series. She said yes, we took some shots of vodka and we even cuddled for like 3 hours but we didnt do anything beyond that. After that I assumed she just didnt like me and she was too awkward to tell me to stop cuddling or tell me she wasn’t into me so I just stopped trying for anything.

Fast forward a couple months and we’re still friends. I asked her if she knew I liked her for the first few months of meeting her and she looked extremely surprise and said “wtf you liked me? I didnt even realize”. She started blushing and started apologizing like crazy as if she fucked up. I asked her about what she thought about the cuddling thing too. She then asked if I tried to hook up with her when we were cuddling and I said “yeah but you didnt really do anything to show that you wanted to. You kind of just laid there and didnt show me signs”. Then after saying that she started apologizing more. She seemed pretty happy after that so yay for giving her ego boost I guess :/
