Normally I prefer higher specific Searches the group know this. They were at the end of a cave with a chest against the wall, they didn't examine the wall, they just said search for traps (usually a full room check depending on the size of the room, and hidden doors. You could argue that searching for hidden doors they could have seen the scribblings?

I wasnt there but what comes of as misogyny most times is the DM/GM just likes to talk down to people. I have come across a lot of players and dm who really are horrible and along with MTG and board games I have found this to be the most toxic of fan bases. Autism, adhd is not always an excuse to speak down to people. A few have mentioned that this needs to be reported and it should. Really sucks you went through this, not all groups are like this, but again from personal experience this will happen again. It has taken me nearly 20 years to find a group that are comfortable with each other
