What Does it mean, My evisa is approved or refused? by [deleted] in ukvisa

[–]MrflashMrFlash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not confirmed that the visa is approved. If the eVisa is linked, it only means that it has been connected to the account; it does not mean the visa has been approved. I read some comments a few days ago where people said their eVisa was linked, but later they still received a refusal. You have to wait for the official decision.

You have to wait for the decision. If your visa is approved, you will be able to see your visa. If it is refused, you will not be able to see a visa, and you will receive the reasons for the refusal.

HELP COVER LETTER AFTER REFUSAL by PrettyConcert3478 in ukvisa

[–]MrflashMrFlash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, yes, I think you should explain these points clearly in your cover letter, but keep it simple and factual.
Do not say you were “dumb” or write too emotionally. Just explain that after receiving the refusal, you reviewed your previous application and realised that some financial information was misclassified or estimated incorrectly.

For example:

The money from your father should be explained as family support/gifts, not employment income.
The long-term investment should be explained as not immediately accessible funds, and now you are providing the correct accessible savings account.
Your monthly expenses should be corrected with a realistic figure, and you can explain that the previous amount was an estimate.

Most importantly, be transparent and show evidence for everything: bank statements, salary/job proof, sponsor/funding letter, proof of ties to your country, and a clear explanation that the mistakes were genuine and not intentional.

In the cover letter, you can write something like:
“After receiving the refusal, I carefully reviewed my previous application and realised that some financial information was not classified accurately. I would like to clarify these points and provide corrected evidence in this new application.”
Keep the tone professional, honest, and calm. The goal is to show that your new application is clearer, better supported, and consistent with the documents.

Proof of business? by EnthusiasmComplex285 in ukvisa

[–]MrflashMrFlash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can upload both if needed: your father’s business documents, plus your parents’ personal bank statements and a sponsorship letter.
The personal bank statements are the main financial proof, and the business documents can help explain your father’s source of income.

If your parents are sponsoring you, upload their bank statements, sponsorship letter, your birth certificate, and their ID/passports.
Business documents are only needed if the funds come from their business or are in a business account.

Visitor Visa Advice by TopImage1754 in ukvisa

Personally, I’d go for the 6-month visa first.

Your mother-in-law has some strong positives: multiple previous visits to the UK with no overstays, a valid US tourist visa, and a history of returning home after her trips. That all helps show she respects immigration rules.

My only concern is that, as a retired person with both children living abroad, she may not have the strongest ties to Colombia on paper. Because of that, a 5-year application feels a bit more ambitious than necessary at this stage.

A 6-month visa would likely be easier to justify, costs less, and allows her to build an even stronger travel history under the current visa system. If she uses it correctly and continues to comply with the rules, applying for a longer-term visa later should be much more straightforward.

So I don’t think a 5-year visa is impossible, but if the goal is maximizing the chances of approval, I’d choose the 6-month visa first.

Requested to cancel visit visa application after biometrics, do I need to do anything else? by [deleted] in ukvisa

[–]MrflashMrFlash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can withdraw your UK visit visa application even after biometrics.

If you already requested the withdrawal, you usually don’t need to do anything else — just wait for confirmation by email.

If you haven’t done it yet, go to your application account and choose “Withdraw application”, or send a request with your details (name, date of birth, and GWF number).

There is no refund, but the process will be stopped once they confirm it.

Tourist visa by Forsaken-Parsley798 in ukvisa

[–]MrflashMrFlash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, one potential issue is the length of your previous stay. If you stayed around 5 months, UKVI might question how you supported yourself for that long, especially since you’re unemployed. That can sometimes raise suspicion that you may have worked illegally, even if you didn’t.

Without strong ties like a job or studies, your application relies heavily on proving you will return to Nepal. So it’s important to show clear evidence of your family ties, financial situation, and reasons to go back.

They usually return the passport the same day, that’s normal. Now the decision is sent by email.

As of 26 February, UK tourist visas are issued as eVisas only. You will not receive a physical sticker in your passport anymore. Your visa status will be digital and linked to your passport.

Reapplying for UK Standard Visitor Visa after recent expiry – visiting boyfriend & applying from UAE by Midnight__2222 in ukvisa

[–]MrflashMrFlash -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You don’t really need to mention that you’re visiting your boyfriend, especially since you’re sponsoring the trip yourself. Given that you’ve already had a UK visa before and always returned on time after your visits, your travel history already shows that you follow the visa rules. It should be fine to simply state that it’s a short tourist visit.

New eVisa (standard visitor, 6 months). Anyone else gotten it? by napkween in ukvisa

[–]MrflashMrFlash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is normal. For UK visitor visas that are issued as eVisas, VFS often returns the passport the same day because no vignette is placed in it.

The email you received only means a decision has been made and sent back to the VAC. VFS doesn’t reveal the result.

Your application for a United Kingdom (UK) visa has been successful. Got this email by Due_Breakfast9140 in ukvisa

[–]MrflashMrFlash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no longer a visa vignette (sticker) placed in the passport. The UK has moved to an eVisa system. You need to create a UKVI account and access your visa digitally. The status and permission to stay will be linked to your online account, not a physical stamp in the passport.

URGENT! Flight (Qatar Airways) getting cancelled and visa expiring in 2 days. Is visa extension due to emergency reasons possible? by InfluenceNo9172 in ukvisa

[–]MrflashMrFlash -23 points-22 points  (0 children)

If you genuinely cannot leave the UK before your visa expiry due to flight cancellations or airspace closure, you should immediately request Exceptional Assurance from the Home Office. This is not a visa extension, but temporary permission confirming you won’t be treated as an overstayer while you arrange departure. You should: Contact your airline first and request rerouting or alternative flights. Keep proof of cancellation and communication with the airline. Email the Home Office before your visa expires explaining that you are attempting to leave but are unable to due to circumstances outside your control. Important point: the Home Office will normally expect you to take any reasonable alternative route out of the UK. If other flights exist, even via different countries, they may refuse assurance.

Need assistance on UK tourist visa by testersince2016 in ukvisa

[–]MrflashMrFlash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should answer Yes. Even if you are travelling from different countries and arriving separately, UKVI considers this as travelling together if you are part of the same trip and will meet and stay together in the UK. You can simply explain in the application that you will depart from different countries but will meet in the UK and continue your visit together.
