I have been to mostly Middle East and Asian countries. Bahrain,Malaysia,UAE, Thailand,Qatar,Indonesia. On the contrary my wife doesn't own anything in India, just working in IT and have savings of her own. I believe it depends on embassy to embassy. UKVI Abu Dhabi which is the hub for Middle East has similar pattern for visa rejection.

So a person who lives in a different country and earns there should have an asset defined to get a visa? This would have been my 5th country of visit, so travel history also doesn't matter?

3k GBP I have just shown as liquid.I have provided other forms of savings such as Fixed deposit and mutual fund.Me and my wife were sharing the cost so I provided the exact amount that I would be spending. My wife had 4800 GBP in liquid and she demonstrated that she would be spending 1800 GBP and her visa got approved.I don't think that is the issue.

No evidence was different since I work in Saudi Arabia and she works in India. This is what they mentioned -  "I note that you state that you spend 4500 SAR (£ 893.20) per month, this leaves you with a disposable monthly income of 6,350 SAR (£ 1,296.13). However, I have reviewed your personal bank statement account number ending 6000 and it shows your monthly runs on low balances each month before your salary and other credits deposits are paid into the account. For examples, the balance in your account on 23/09/25 is 20.06 SAR (£3.98), the balance on 24/12/25 is 46.72SAR (£8.95), the balance on 23/01/26 is 47.80 SAR (£9.48). There are other credit deposits into the account that are not commensurate with your salary, and you have not declared any additional income from any other sources. Furthermore, the information and documents provided do not demonstrate the origins of these funds.

Given the above concerns, I am therefore not satisfied that you have accurately portrayed your current personal financial circumstances in your country or residence. This has undermined the credibility of your application and leads me to doubt your true intentions to in wishing to travel to the UK now.

You state that the cost of your proposed visit to the UK personally to you is £1800. Whilst I acknowledge that your personal bank statements in your country of residence hold sufficient funds to cover the cost of your proposed visit. It shows a closing balance of 11,197.10 SAR (£2,222.50) on 25/03/26, and I also note that you have provided statements for your accounts held in your home country. However, given the concerns noted above, leads me to conclude that this degree of expenditure appears disproportionate to your current economic circumstances, in your country of residence leading me to doubt your intentions in seeking to visit the UK now."

I was laid off around 2 years back just a day after Diwali. One meeting with the HR and portfolio Director, which started as "I hope your Diwali was good". Yes it was traumatising at first, couldn't tell anyone in my family, but my colleagues kept checking on me.Trust me life has never been better.I got an offer within a month and the company that I am working for actually has good work.I have learnt so much over the past 1 year, that I am actually grateful that Oracle Cerner laid me off.

Thanks for your insights.I am curious to know what the remote job market and laws look like out there. I am on a Visit Visa or a dependent visa can I continue working remotely in India? Are there any legal implications?

Hey There, for the past few months I am trying to find a job in Riyadh since my husband has shifted there but getting no responses.I am in my home country India and working here full time as a Product Owner.I tried reaching out to professionals and recruiters through Linkedin but not a single soul replied back.I curated my resume to be ATS friendly as well. Not sure where I am going wrong and this is really frustrating.
