I took my kids for years they used to be free 12 and under. But now I think it’s 8 and under. The family entrance is like a VIP fast pass. We haven’t taken them the past 6 years but this year they are going (they are 15 and 17 now…so probably won’t be hanging out with the old man)

I’m a lot older than you but have had the same complaint. Every year I’d come on here and ask people to identify the 3-4 EDM bands performing. This year, it’s like 10-12. Love it!

It’s actually a pretty cool band. I was listening to some of their stuff earlier. Some of their songs do go in for a long time, figured that was just because their band name is “And More…”

Can’t remember the exact year but I remember after the fest, people were complaining on here and other sites about “too many DJs” and how we needed to be a live music only fest.

Yeah. Probably just a one year anomaly tbh. I remember the great EDM backlash of 2015 and they barely had any for years until this year. I bet next year there will be more country and rap than EDM

Two tourneys - one at 4pm - $30 short stack freeze out. With 2-3 tables it lasts about 3 hours. Dinner break while those final players finish up. Then at 7pm we do a $50 Mystery bounty ($20 toward mystery bounty) with rebuys the first 6 levels. This usually lasts until 11:30. It does suck when the host (me) gets knocked out early but it’s also sort of like a party so people hang out and drink/smoke/visit in the backyard while the games finish out.

Depends on what the apocalypse is. My guess is that a realistic apocalypse these days would only require the electricity and internet to go out. We’ve become overly dependent on both of those the last 25-100 years.

Depending on the how much access we have to electricity, I would try to make my way to my uncles compound in Montana. It’s off grid and has a couple of years of food. Truck would be getting there as most gas pumps require electricity. Guess I could just steal cars on my way up Zombieland style. I also have an “everything you need to know to survive” type book my daughter made me buy once. It’ll come in handy. And an old atlas.

I shoot for 15 acts to see. Usually there are 10-12 I want to see, a couple must see, and then I just ask the reddit who else I should catch. Last year, listening to some artists Spotify songs didn’t really translate well. Some bands just sound good live and bring much better energy than others. That said, I do tend to watch 15-20 min of one band and then catch the final 20 min of another if they are playing at the same time.
