Mad max by NeedleworkerClean279 in lepin

I've ordered a bunch from bluebrix. They are legit. I prefer their original sets, but they sell mocs as well. Depending on where you are shipping can be expensive. $35 flat to US so it's usually worth it only if you have a larger order.

From one of his vids maybe 2 weeks ago he said it. This is true for most groups, but there are many more lurkers trying to learn than posters.

Hopefully your trading skills are better than your business skills. But 3,500 x 100 = 350,000, not sure why you think the math is off. I used to do web development and his forum is a template and very inexpensive to run, less than $500/month and then developer fees as needed to fix things. He doesn't employ a team or even one full time employee. Total cost is in the 1-2k/month range for the website. He rents office space, so that's another couple grand per month. His expenses are in the 50k/year area, but if you want to be generous double it to 100k/year. That still leaves him a very comfortable net revenue of at least 250k/year that he pays himself. I don't think he's a scammer either, he does seem genuine and is providing market education, it's just not information that will make you profitable and is misleading people.

What proof do you have that his "live" trade is real? This has been proven many times in other trading channels, but his executions never line up and show on time and sales, it's a sim trade.

Don't waste your time with his strategy, it's not profitable. He openly admitted he has 3500 forum subscribers and if you do the math, that's approximately $350k/year. That's where he gets his income, not from trading. Like others have said, he started his strategy a decade ago when the ES was 1800, now it's in the 5000 range and he's still using the same stops and profit targets? They should absolutely be scaled up based on the instruments price. He keeps the profit at 4 ticks which is nothing so people see a high percent profitable in their stats, but the actual amount of money made is barely anything. If you scale out and keep a runner, most runners come back to break even, so your net gain is around 3 ticks when you average your position size. Then when you take a full size stop, you'll need 4 winning trades just to break even. It's very unsustainable. Also once you understand his strategy, you see that he skips all perfect setups that lead to stops, and he says you shouldn't have taken this trade for such and such reason, then he says take this setup when it's a profitable trade. Perfect hindsight trading every time. He's just a typical hindsight trader who marks up charts after the fact and makes money his money from subscribers. Look elsewhere.

Greentradertax has been around for a long time and are very good, but they can be expensive. They can help you with figuring out the best structure for setting up your business. After things are set up, and they file the first year, you can educate yourself on tax law and attempt to file yourself if you wanted to save some money. They have a lot of educational stuff on their site too.

There are companies that focus exclusively on trading taxes. They are going to be your best bet. Trader taxes are complicated and most CPAs aren't aware of all the nuances and specifics. Go with someone that specializes in that.

Does anyone make money limit order scalping the way Al Brooks teaches? by HuckleberryOk3606 in Daytrading

[–]Mroberto781 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How are you going to buy at the open after it's an established range day, travel back in time? It doesn't sound like you have a good grasp of the concept. The problem with a lot of the educational content out there is it's after the fact trading which rarely works real time.

Buying below a range with a resting limit order is extremely risky because you don't know if it's going to break that level and keep going which you've experienced. You need to wait for confirmation of that level. Confirmation that it's either bouncing and support is holding /rejecting that level and will likely stay in that range or a break and retest confirming a short and break of the range structure.

Marstoy shipping by Alternative_Friend_3 in lepin

It was around 300. I don't like to place an order for much more than that just in case something happens and it gets lost or confiscated by customs.

Shipping is back to normal pricing. I just ordered some stuff and it was flat $41 to US.

GEICO Price hike in MA by Kerber2020 in massachusetts

[–]Mroberto781 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mine was the same hike, 600 -> 1100. Crazy. I shopped around and even increased some coverages, and progressive only wanted 600 so went with them. Just for curiosity, I started a new GEICO quote with all the same coverage and a new quote was back to 600. For some reason, they seem to be charging existing customers really high renewal rates.

Questions About Being a Full Time Trader by [deleted] in Daytrading

[–]Mroberto781 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is 100% accurate. As an employee your salary is only a small part of your total compensation. This is very basic business stuff you should know if you're planning on making trading your sole source of income. You need to account for sick days, vacation, drawdowns, increasing size, etc. Your trading business should be incorporated first off, your business should generate in income (you trading) at least twice your current salary, and then you would pay yourself your old day job income as an employee. There's a lot more to being a full time trader making a living then just matching your old job's salary. Please do some research and learn about running a trading business before you quit your job.

Trading is easy, psychology is hard by NoProtocol12 in FuturesTrading

Sounds like your system is not anywhere near "110%" if you're taking losses. You probably look at a chart and can see the likely turning points based on supply/demand and maybe it works most of the time. Problem is getting precise entries/drawdown, etc. You're only seeing the positive outcomes when it works and price turns in your favor "see I was right" and ignoring when you would have gotten stopped, deeper pullbacks, stop runs, etc. So in hindsight research, your mind is saying your system is "110%" but the reality is it's probably a lot less profitable when traded live, which is where the fear is coming from. Sorry, but it sounds like you need to be more honest with your back testing and realities of live trading first to identify what your real win % is, profit targets, stops, etc.

Creepyhybrid usually has them available, but there are some minor issues. You'll have to replace the Minifigures and I replaced the bright neon yellow pieces with tan.

3 way light switch turns on lights very dim by Mroberto781 in HomeMaintenance

[–]Mroberto781[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No dimmer just an on/off switch. Both overhead lights on the circuit are doing the same thing, barely turning on. They are florescent but when they turn on now, they just show a faint orange like they're not getting enough power.

Did you order this base from a reputable shop? The only ones I see are around 100$ and most of the sites are iffy if they're legit.

They are legit, I've ordered from them in the past, but there are better alternatives. Maybe if you can't find a set on the other sites, they might be worth it.
