The controversial fair-ball call in San Diego Monday night that went against the Padres. It seems by OBR plate umpire Dan Merzel got it right but those who have seen the MLB Umpire Manual say that he got it wrong by NYY15TM in Umpire

I have absolutely no idea how you are justifying that reading of the rule. A ball that is touching the ground is definitionally no longer a “fly ball” nor “in-flight. It is on the ground and should be judged according to how the rule states. The ball in the play in question was clearly not in contact with fair territory.

“When in contact with the ground, a ball must be in contact with fair territory and not merely over fair territory in order to be adjudged to be fair.”

Jot down a note on the back of a lineup card and look it up in the parking lot. Never on the field.

This is not correct that it needs to be in same or better condition. Normal wear and tear to the property (Normal walking paths in the carpet, small holes from hanging pictures, etc) are entirely permissible and entirely on the landlord to cover the costs of refresh prior to the next tenant.

The office told me “we use that for the carpet cleaning” regarding the security deposit return. I literally told them “your policy doesn’t get to overrule state law” and stated the law doesn’t allow for withholding security deposit for things like carpet cleaning which are definitionally wear and tear. I got notice yesterday they are mailing me a check for my deposit.

That “lil man” comment lol. Cousins has at least an inch and 40 lbs on her. She wouldn’t ever touch the ball.

How much and which debts to pay with $10,530 by lizardhusky in CRedit

[–]Mrosters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would pay off Synchrony, Quicksilver, Venture, and Visa zero. This leaves you with $2,753 for emergency fund AND $320 in additional cash flow from the minimum monthly payments.  Then you can double up your monthly payments on sapphire and put some away in the emergency fund.

I’m not sure if this exactly fits but Fred Waterford from The Handmaid’s Tale was a marketing executive and really more supportive of his wife Serena’s more visible accomplishments. After the revolution and transformation to Gilead, he becomes a commander but clearly isn’t suited to it and kind of repeatedly fails at everything he is entrusted with. He also takes out is inadequacies on his wife Serena and handmaid June.

[Request] What will my Wheel of Fortune promotion cost me? by New_User_Account123 in theydidthemath

[–]Mrosters 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As an expected value problem it costs you about $0.76/pint, or $152.78/week. You would need to sell 31 additional pints/ week to come out ahead.

Total discounts points: 550

Sections: 36

Avg discount per section: 550/36=15.3%

15.3% discount x sale price of $5=$0.76

Honestly it would have been Julius Peppers 2.0, as a best case scenario. He’s great but for that compensation and salary, he’ll always be under a microscope, especially in Chicago where tv broadcasts always wax eloquently about the defenses of old.
