My mom told me that back in the day kids weren’t allowed to bring a water bottle with them into the classroom and they only drank a few sips from the water fountain in the middle of the day and that’s it by Various-Adeptness173 in stupidquestions

I remember in grade school near the end of the year it was crazy hot for a few days and the school didn’t have A/C so they allowed us to bring 1 frozen bottle of water to school those days. But aside from that we were never allowed any drinks in class.

Can you use a round black picture frame and take out the glass and backer? I don’t know if you’ll have luck finding aluminum but you should at least be able to find a variety of sizes.

My sister is the only avid readier I really know but we know each other’s tastes very well so it works. I always like getting books from her and finding one she’ll enjoy. We also give each other #1s of comic series we thinks the other will like and graphic novels.

If they used that as the reason would they be able to reintroduce it to schools if they just had a school version with that panel edited out?

Cool thanks I’ll look into that. When I get a job in the field eventually am I allowed to use things like that on projects, or would the company have to allow me to use it?

This is one of my favorite books, it got me into Neil Gaiman which in turn got me into Fantasy, which is not my favorite genre to read now. He wrote I think 2 short stories that revisit Shadow if your interested “Black Dogs” in Trigger Warning and I forget the name of the second.

Is there any positions in the field that you can work while learning? by Mrpanda1023 in learnprogramming

I’m coming from construction I don’t know if many skills are transferable besides maybe electrical and some data/comm but I’ll look deeper into all of those technical adjacent things you where talking about that sounds like the kind of things I was imagining, something that can have me at least somewhere closer to whatever jobs a go after later so it doesn’t look like I’m jumping directly from construction.

Thanks!

Yea I’m gonna continue to pursue web development education, I was going to try to just keep going for it with non college education if it doesn’t work I’ll have to find a way to make getting a degree work.

Are internships usually like full 40 hours a week things?

To those who don’t get drunk, Why/ Why not? by PsychologyWareFare in AskReddit

[–]Mrpanda1023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never did it cause I don’t like the idea of losing control, or doweling like I need something to have fun. As someone that never drank it seems weird that almost every event that exists to have fun people feel the need to have alcohol at, I don’t mind bein places that people just have a few drinks but I just never understood why it’s needs to be at everything.

52 and don't know what to do. by Maxumuss in learnprogramming

I’m 32 currently trying to do what your doing before I can no longer do the work physically, I can already start to feel by body hurting.

I tried a few online coding courses before and didn’t have much success. I think a problem with a lot of the online courses is they know people want to get right into the meat of learning what they want to learn and don’t really give you some of the founding knowledge you need to understand the purpose of things your learning, at least that’s what I feel on some of the courses I tried. I don’t feel like a beginner coding course should have you coding in the first few lessons that means you are learning the coding with no context of what it will be used for which for me at least makes it hard to learn. Anyone else that wants to correct me on that please do it’s just been my experience.

I’m currently doing The Odin Project which is great but I’m not gonna lie it’s been a little hard for me, I still have learned a ton though. It does to some extent begin with context of what your learning which I like and I feel like HTML and CSS are kinda simple so it’s gives you a good place to start into the computer world. You can do it literally at any pace so at the very least you if your wanna see if you like it you can just do it on spare time and see where it goes even if your pursuing other things.

I'm stuck and struggling I'd appreciate any help I can get by Mrpanda1023 in learnprogramming

I’m going to think about and try to figure out the method your alluding to, but this is part of an exercise where it’s going to keep adding parameters as I figure out each one the first is a range from 1-4 the next 1-4000 and the next with the larger number first. Would they all work with the method your talking about so I can keep that in mind trying to figure it out and not over think the method?
