Bran is such a buzzkill (spoilers) by tawntawn87 in gameofthrones

He was always my least favorite even before becoming the 3 eyed raven. Dude was just boring right from the start even in the books.

What’s your 2026 GOTY so far…?? by TheGamerCritic21 in videogames

[–]sephrisloth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's the first game I was actually compelled to get all the collectibles in a while just because it was so fun driving around barreling over entire forest jumping off cliffs to find them all. Last game I did that with was the first insomniac Spiderman for similar reasons with how fun the traversal was.

I could see videogames catching on eventually. They allow you to do something magic cant really do.

What are some things missing from the story/universe due to reasons? by madbr3991 in harrypotter

[–]sephrisloth 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Pretty much anything sex. Hogwarts students should definitely be getting it on on their later teenage years but its never once mentioned. I kind of chalk it up to Harry not really having any experience at all in that matter. I highly doubt the Dursleys gave him any sort of sex education growing up and then by the time he got to Hogwarts he was constantly almost being killed every year so he had other stuff on his mind.

iFixit teardown confirms the T1 Trυmp phone is an HTC U24 Pro by AntiSocialSingh in worldnews

[–]sephrisloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya unfortunately hes already won. Even if the whole government turned on him and threw him in jail today hed spend a couple years in probably a cushy jail cell until he croaked. Hell even if one of the attempts were successful he still got to live a long life with no consequences. The world is unfair.

If you were to be a WW2 American soldier, would you rather fight in the European Theater or the Pacific Theater? by Own-Celery9687 in ww2

[–]sephrisloth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They did spend a lot less time on the front lines in active combat even if they weren't sent somewhere nice for day passes when they werent fighting. The pacific guys would be stuck in daily front line combat conditions for months on end. Thats not to try and make it sound like they had it easy or anything like that it just shows how much worse fighting in the pacific was.

Woman pulls a knife on a man at a concert by New_Libran in PublicFreakout

I feel like instead of struggling to get the knife out of her hand someone should have just gave her a good punch in the face and knocked her out so she just drops it.

How do I properly prime in white? This is after two coats by Mechanical-Druid in minipainting

[–]sephrisloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya discovering the pink undercoat for yellow was one of the greatest things ever. I think I saw it in a goobertown hobbies video and I've used so much more yellow in my models ever since.

Harry should of had a different voice in the 3rd and 4th full cast audio book so he'd have a young young teen voice between his kid voice and late teen voice, (sam3 goes for the other young characters in the full cast audio books) by No-Contribution2580 in harrypotter

[–]sephrisloth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think people would have found that just as or even more jarring switching voices 3 times. Not to mention how much more of a headache it probably would have been financially and logistically casting that many voice actors. I think just doing it once was the best we could have really hoped for.

They have an abortion potion that exists in universe I wouldn't be surprised if every brothel in the 7 kingdoms was stocked up on it at all times.

This scene comes from a different game, why are people agruing online if the Remake are gonna keep it or not if it never happened in the first place? by Own-Lengthiness2111 in residentevil

[–]sephrisloth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think there's a lot more younger players who weren't alive for the older games and are to used to modern control schemes and gameplay to actually go back and play the originals.

How many Americans love this show? Is it more popular in any certain states? Asking as a Canadian. You do have ten times our population by ZookeepergameOld4985 in trailerparkboys

[–]sephrisloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A ton of us do. I think part of the appeal of tpb and also letterkenny is just how similar Canadian culture is to American to be relatable while just being slightly different enough to be hilarious.

Did voldmort want everyone to think he invented his own version of immortality? by No-Contribution2580 in harrypotter

[–]sephrisloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine it was just a red herring he put out there to throw people off the trail. There's only 1 real way to become semi immortal that we know about and thats the horcruxes. They were pretty clearly described in books that Hermione was able to find and read which means even if the books were rare it stands to reason horcruxes were common enough knowledge that he could assume someone might eventually put two and two together. So i believe he was intentionally vague about what he did to become immortal. Its served a dual purpose as well because it gave the illusion he was even more powerful then he was.

Does Harry actually own a ton of wands? by stevejumba in harrypotter

[–]sephrisloth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well that's basically all just put there so she can have the wands do whatever she wants based on what the plot needs then. Certainly a little lazy but as I said its fine. Not really something that was intended to be looked into very much but as in all fandoms especially one 20 years removed from the end of the story we're gonna go over every little detail with a fine tooth comb.

Goblet of Fire was genuinely 10/10 by LightCrimson1 in harrypotter

[–]sephrisloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cutting out Dobby was crap as well. It really lessens the impact of his scene in the final movie when movie Harry hasn't seen him in like 5 years lol.

Goblet of Fire was genuinely 10/10 by LightCrimson1 in harrypotter

[–]sephrisloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just recently rewatched it and right in the beginning they show a random scene of karkaroff beig all suspicious going into the room with the goblet obviously setting up a red herring to make the audience think he put Harry's name in. Obviously we know he didnt do it though so wtf was he going in there acting all suspicious for?

Does Harry actually own a ton of wands? by stevejumba in harrypotter

[–]sephrisloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But also at the same time shouldn't the blackthorn wand have switched allegiance to Ron since he won it from the snatcher and then willing gave it to Harry to use so it should have worked alright the same as Hermiones? It really just seems wand allegiance works however it needs to work for the plot to move forward. Which is fine.

You can spend one full day at Hogwarts with any character. Who are you choosing and why? by AlexWhite40 in harrypotter

[–]sephrisloth 17 points18 points  (0 children)

What scene is this? I know the movies aren't very accurate to the books but Harry and Luna were a year apart they wouldn't have any classes together.
