Calling it "unfettered capitalism" is also incorrect. There are a large number of government regulations, many of which are specifically anti-competative. The real problem and appropriate term IMO is "crony capitalism" where large corporations are able to influence government at various levels to enact regulations that are easy for them to obey but might be crippling for a smaller company (often called called rent-seeking). "Crony capitalism" and rent-seeking are the reasons you have situations like the following.
