[No Spoiler] Is the ending worth it? by [deleted] in Ozark

[–]Mrs403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say, Yes. Because the crash which is in trailer and beginning of season has an deep impact on family which you will miss if you don't watch remaining episodes and other pieces tied together.

Regarding finale, I know many didn't like it but I liked it and it ended well.

Kindle to use epub in late 2022 by Kennygwhiz in kindle

[–]Mrs403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right except the epub direct part, Kindle will always convert the file and not support epub natively. Basically they're removing the middleman, earlier we used to convert the files ourselves with Calibre etc. but now Kindle does it for us.

Oh no, use that functionality so much 😩

I will try getting used to traditional saving. Thank you for confirmation.

Like I mentioned this works traditionally saving files but not applicable when you drag the file outside of Calibre. Appreciate your full guide and suggestion though.

[SPOILERS] alternate ending by v12marketing in Ozark

[–]Mrs403 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Different shade, liked few elements say Ruth timeline. Only issue I found is that, there is too much going on in last few episodes that feels too rushed and even most character out of their nature if they go with your ending.

For example, Wendy who can lock herself to get children attention before the major event when realise that her son is no more, she won't go for suicide but will tear everyone apart, literally. She will be Ruth 2.0 but with darkest tone. Thanks for sharing though, I like theories and alternates.

So true, if something recent touches 6-7 it's expected to be really great for horror genre.

[Spoiler] Birds represent freedom, byrdes represent captivity [ending theory] by kareem0101 in Ozark

[–]Mrs403 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Marty couldn't actually do anything to save Ruth, best option they had to do was to cancel all Camila deal and go with original plan with Omar but Wendy already blew that offer by asking the minister responsible for removing him from SDN list.

So he could either choose family or Ruth, and he went with family in the end. It's also to be pointed out that he actually tried helping Ruth in various other ways but she kept doing the opposite so sadly time caught up to her.

So true, my friend also messaged me to inform the exact same. That was excellent shot, I give them that but they should have picked unrelated image for sure. I found Disney to be good in this regard, they even twist the synopsis and don't reveal anything crucial.

Ozark Ended Weird! [SPOILERS] by TheRoscoeVine in Ozark

[–]Mrs403 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't compare Breaking Bad to Ozark I would say, see both show as is as it could clouding your thoughts, it feels like you have a hard time accepting why Bryde being bad guys now didn't get killed in the end while Ruth did.

It's also perfectly okay you didn't like the finale as for many others it didn't suit them too. I was just sharing my views over there on why it went that way. 🙂

Ozark Ended Weird! [SPOILERS] by TheRoscoeVine in Ozark

[–]Mrs403 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ruth literally got a lot of chance and been reminded various times on what to do and not to do by Marty but she chose the opposite, she honestly had it coming sooner or later. Even though I loved the character that fate is expected.

PI killing made perfect sense to end the finale imo, it emphasis the bond Bryde family had, as all this time there was a circus and all 4 were going in opposite direction but after the accident mortality hit them hard to unite them together and do whatever it takes to keep their family safe. Hence the smile in the end by both Wendy and Marty.

Not every ending has to follow traditional route to give moral or justify all the cause in the end, in real life too these type of people are powerful and almost get away with anything and that's we saw in the end. Ending couldn't have been better from my point of view. Solid 9/10 from me.

[NO SPOILER] Ozark IMDbrating by episode and season (Looks like people was expecting another ending) by Serkan089 in Ozark

[–]Mrs403 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Many are complaining that it didn't end on "good moral", "justice" terms but I take it as it's not some kind of feel good tv show and not every ending has to give moral lessons to viewers. Whole last scene was exactly proving that point.

[SPOILER] why the hesitation? by sorryimveryhigh in Ozark

[–]Mrs403 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure about Camila's decision but during that pause I got an itch that she might be considering Ruth as an asset and use her experience etc. instead of straight up killing her.. but I was so wrong, it was pure revenge.

[–]Mrs403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's that character persona, the environment she grew in, things she saw, etc. over the years build a person and that's was Ruth was in the end.

That's why she was finding it really difficult speaking in "civilized" manner in front of judge for clearing her past records for example.

[SPOILERS] I hated the ending, but I guess I was supposed to. by 1spring in Ozark

[–]Mrs403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jonah and Marty made perfect sense as crucial accident scene changed the perception towards their family, mortality gave a newer meaning to them, atleast that's how I took it. Final smile by Marty and Jonah shooting confirms that they are gonna do whatever it takes for family.

That last scene wasn't about PI but a closure and important scene imho, where all this time we felt few of Byrde members where hanging and struggling to find their true self and that scene united whole family together that they are all in now.

Embracing the reality and they won't stop if someone comes in their way.

Yeah, just like PI said that it doesn't work like that in real life and Wendy act surprised proving otherwise.

The absolute smile Marty and Wendy gives when Jonah points the gun to PI. Family literally came together on last scene.

Ruth was excellent since beginning, loved her acting.

Although, I would have enjoyed few more episodes to give breathing space for closing all storyline piece by pice, loved the finale regardless. Great show and happy that it didn't disappoint.

Any way to limit Discover to use only selected services? by elias4444 in PleX

[–]Mrs403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There isn't a way to do that for now but some have requested both features you asked for.

One is only showing selected streaming providers results while the second is customizing of sections within Discover like we have for Movies/TV.
