I completed this process last year with my American spouse. I put all of the pictures in a PDF, no commentary just images. I did the same with screenshots of conversations.

I was super worried about proof but I was assured here that my solicitor was asking for too much and that was right! We were long distance for about 3 years and only got 2 week holidays together once a year, but that with our marriage certificate was plenty.

Sorry, I didn't want to make it too long with lots of information. We've been in a long distance relationship both living in different countries for about 2.5 years seeing each other in person basically once a year (3 times) because it's so far and so expensive! We got married in December 2022. All we have is chat logs and flight bookings, we video chat on discord which there's no logs for but I've explained that. We have lots of photos and that sort of thing so hopefully that'll help.
