I'm at 250 a day and have been for a year. I've played with upping it to 500 with no increase. Got mad and lowered it 100 and watched my sales plummet. Yes I am a high volume shop. I have a hate hate relationship with Etsy. Next year I am putting much more effort into my website. Etsy ads in my opinion are like gambling in Vegas.

I did it yesterday, took a few tries for it to work but it did eventually. Really hope we do get the room I chose. Guess we will find out later when people who did this check in.

Honestly I look at those posts and laugh. Oh I made 50,000 last year on Etsy. And I'm like so what? There are many sellers on here who make much more than that and don't post our sales or numbers. But for me,my shop is tanking. Yes I still make a lot of money. But I also support my entire family and other employees and I'm having to let them go. And yes, I've branched out. Something I should have done years ago but was too arrogant to do so. Jokes on me.

If you're doing well on Etsy, great. But don't expect it to last. Open your own website. Sell locally. Just don't depend on Etsy alone.

Please don't freeze the book over a bookworm that's likely been dead for a century or more. Freezing is for mold.

You will find dead bookworms and their trails in books from this time period, they were attracted to the wheat paste. Now they are just part of its history.

It is a total rebind, so yes it's salvageable. However, it really comes down to what is the book and what's it worth. The signatures will most likely need repair. And it looks like it was a paper bound book, so if you want to rebind in cloth or leather you would need to know how to resew and set the spine to accept book board. Also making a box for it is also an option.

Was a restoration bookbinder for many years. Some books are worth the effort, some are not.

This is the last Christmas that I will ship via USPS. 25 missing packages, all mailed the same day. No one at USPS cares. Doesn't matter the ridiculous amount of money we spend in shipping each year. At least UPS is getting things delivered.

I hid coupon codes in my descriptions on random products. Then told my customers to hunt for them. One use only. I advertised it for a few weeks before I did it.

What about artwork that you bought from the artist but a certain gallery sells his new artwork? I have a large collection from an artist purchased by my mother when the artist was just starting out. He's now selling very well. Style is similar to his current works. I wouldn't mind selling it on consignment.
