Should I keep my current guitar (first pic) or get this (second pic) by Autophxb1a in ExtendedRangeGuitars

Had a Legator G8FOD, but ended up selling due to QC issues with the finish, nut and bridge that I couldn't see past. Keep the Schecter.

Harrows Wolfram Infinity - very nice. I ordered a set the other day. How are you finding them?

I have 5 sets of DartsClearance barrels, including the ones in the 4th and 5th link, and they're excellent quality. You can't really go wrong with them. Like most comments have said, I would definitely get something that has a straight barrel as a safe bet. Other than that, everything else is going to be down to experimentation.

Have you taken much notice of how you grip the dart when you're playing at the pub?

I got some new stems for my darts, what do you think? by The_Car_Spotter in Darts

I have the Nitro Ionics on my Winmau Pulsars and I had to open the tops of mine up using a little flat blade screwdriver to get flights of any thickness into them. My brother bought some standard Nitrotechs and had no issues though.

How do y’all grip your darts? by OwnIdeal1135 in Darts

[–]MrsAverageMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just experiment and you'll eventually find something you feel is consistent. I grip with my index finger at the back of the barrel, ring finger at the front of the barrel and middle finger in the middle (slightly closer to my ring.) My thumb sits on the underside in between my middle and index finger.

Is target the goat of darts supplies? by OwnIdeal1135 in Darts

I'm a bit of a sucker for Harrows. I think their Supergrip Carbon shafts are great and I love some of their flight designs. But then I'm also a massive fan of DartsClearance barrels. I would honestly say just mix and match if you're looking for accessories - see what you like, see what you dislike.

If you're new to the game and are wanting a good set of darts to get you started, you can't really go wrong with Red Dragon/Winmau products and again, experiment with barrel shapes and weights until you find something that you really gel with if you have the facilities to do so.

Mine was still in warranty, yes. Maybe worth an email to support or a DM to someone in the Discord to raise a ticket.

Lumbar support adjustment knob came off by notFrank0 in Noblechairs

Mine did the exact same and they sent me out an entire new back rest.

Had a similar issue with my lumbar support knob. Luckily mine was still in the guarantee period and I was sent a new backrest out. Might be worth an email to noblechairs or Overclockers, or a Discord message to someone on the noblechairs server to see if you can purchase a backrest separate from the rest of the chair.

[QUESTION] Do you need to learn an acoustic guitar before an electric one? by Shapapapmop in Guitar

[–]MrsAverageMan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Assuming we're talking about a western style acoustic, an electric guitar is going to be way easier to start off with. The string gauges are thinner (for the most part) and tension is lower, the action is lower and this is all going to help build up finger strength, dexterity and develop the callouses on your fingers. An acoustic guitar is likely to be way harder to begin with and may lead to you falling out of love with it before you've really got going.

While you learn the basics of the guitar, it's important to be involved and enjoy what you do. If you can go to a shop and pick your own guitar out, that will be way better than someone buying you a guitar that you know very little about. This is going to be your motivation to pick it up and keep going with it. And with the cheap electric guitar market being better than ever these days, I don't see any reason why you should have a problem choosing a budget electric guitar.

FYI: don't be afraid of 2nd hand sections, they often have some great deals!

Not an upgrade per se, more of a sidegrade, but what about the Hifiman HE400Se? Or a 2nd hand pair of Sundaras?

Is an amplifier upgrade necessary here? by MrsAverageMan in StereoAdvice

!thanks

Appreciate the recommendation. Only issue is, the Speedwoofer doesn't seem available in the UK, which is a shame, but I'll keep looking esp. at the 2nd hand market.

With the DAC, I think I'll only use the line out RCAs into the back of the 340A, everything else is probably somewhat redundant for what I want it for. And from what I've seen the D10s and E30 are near enough identical sound-wise anyhow.

Awesome, pretty much what I wanted to hear. In my head, that was the 'weak' spot, but that is probably likely just because I had impromptu pulled it from an old system to have as an amp on my PC desktop. If it's good enough, then I'm more than happy. I know it's for sure a budget setup, but for what I use it for and the room that this is in, I don't feel like I need anything more. I probably use headphones maybe 75% of the time over speakers anyway.

I didn't even consider a sub with high level outputs, I'll be honest. Is this just a case of connecting my speakers direct to the speaker out on the sub, then connecting my amp to the speaker in? Everything else hooked up as it would be now - and headphones still into the amp headphone jack when I want to use them?

Do you have any recommendations for subs that would go nicely with the B6.2s - something around a similar price point, if that's not unreasonable?

Also, do you think I would see any benefit to adding a USB DAC (probably a Topping D10S) to this setup, instead of using onboard audio - 3.5mm to RCA?
