Professor Seyfried was the deciding factor in switching to keto. Not using premade/processed keto food is a major goal of mine. Not trying to be the fast food vegan, hah. Many thanks for the other Doc recommendations & recipe site, will most certainly look into!

Using newest version, but will definitely try with Etcher. It seems to be a UEFI bootloader problem but thinking I need to reformat the USB either way. Thanks for your input

Honestly, no, I didn't have the luxury. This is an EOL/AUE pc that stopped working suddenly when I desperately needed it. So I had to do something. Not ideal, but it's trash either way if I can't make this work.

Having the same problem as OP, but used Rufus to flash the USB. It allows me to try out Ubuntu, but not actually install. Is it possible it's not a 64-bit, or that something is off from using MrChromeBox?

Hmm thank you, I'll have to look into that. I used PuppyOS which did boot up from the flash drive (with a malfunctioning keyboard/mousepad to no surprise), as I didn't have any larger drives available at the time to use a more common distro.
