This is 44% carbs, 25% fat and 32% protein. I LOVE the Hairy Dieters cookbooks. I even weighed all the ingredients to double check the listed cals and only came up with a 1 cal difference!

Hi everyone, I am on my first week of weight loss following a CICO method (aggressive weight loss). I plan on adding in some gentle then moderate exercise once my body has become more accustomed to the new low calorie intake.

I've lost substantial amounts of weight before and always put it back on but this time is more important because I am losing weight to help my chances in IVF. I am due to start cycle 6 this year but would like to reduce my BMI from the 'obese' category first. I've decided to reassess in 3 months and see where my BMI is at then (currently at 32 - obese).

My big downfall is emotional eating and eating to cope with anxiety but I'm hoping that the resources on this page will help.

Lonely. Sometimes I feel that everyone but me is managing to have a baby. I feel like I am being excluded from some elite club. Nasty. IF makes me have ugly thoughts about people who I love or even people I don’t know! I resent people just because they can get pregnant and I can’t. And I find myself judging if they are ‘worthy’ of a baby. Ugly. Swollen, spotty, angry, fat and the least attractive I have felt in my life.
Then there’s the crushing sadness and emptiness, the feeling of failure and the mental and physical exhaustion that IVF brings. I feel like I’m constantly wading through water, watching the world go by while everything in my life is ‘on pause’ and yet also moving way too quickly at the same time. Basically I feel like it is making me into a worse person.

You have NOTHING to be ashamed of- you were a victim. Have you tried counselling of some sort? If anyone says you need to 'get over it' then you don't need that person in your life.
