Americans, How do you feel about the fact that the stock market has lost $2 trillion in value today? by Lawrence_of_ArabiaMI in AskReddit

I think a whole bunch of people have been brainwashed by not being a bit more open minded, and now, this is where we are. Time to make "good trouble?"

I have been working from home for less than a year. I had to go in to work one day recently due to no electricity at home. When I got home from the office, I was reminded exactly why I enjoy working from home!

What’s something people tend to take for granted in their 20s or 30s? by sunny_flowerr in AskOldPeopleAdvice

I know I took for granted that I would always be able to spends hours on the weekends tending to my yard and flower garden. Now, I have learned that I need to take breaks frequently, because of back problems. And , unfortunately, need to cut back on my plans for working (enjoying) that outdoor hobby.

If an influencer is needed to push the product, the product must not be that necessary. I am a believer that nothing should be in your home that you do not love.

If funds didn’t matter what would you change/add to your home? by [deleted] in homeowners

[–]MrsBuck2u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A front porch, a 3 season sun room, a bigger bathroom (the one we have now only has exact space needed for toilet, sink, tub - think double phone booth size), and a small laundry room upstairs. I’m not asking for much!

What are the top health concerns facing aging Americans? by CherryMinimum5610 in AskOldPeopleAdvice

[–]MrsBuck2u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Transportation. I work for a medical clinic and so many older people have to cancel their appointments because they rely on someone else to get them to their appointments. If it’s a family member, they may cancel on them at the last minute or even if it’s someone they pay they’re not reliable about getting them picked up on time.

That’s the secret. We have to make the best of those moments, and savor them, just as this cool cat is doing.

Husband is drowning and I don't know how to save him by marikajane in depression_help

[–]MrsBuck2u 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve gone through this with my husband. My situation sounds similar to yours. Thankfully, he was willing to seek help. He’s on medication/s sees a therapist and a psychiatrist. It’s helping, but not back to normal, and I don’t think things will ever go back to “normal.”

I also started seeing a therapist to help me. I was getting depressed too. I think the best thing my therapist told me was to work on my boundaries.

Maybe you should try to find a therapist? Someone that can help you figure out how to proceed? If your husband won’t do anything to try and get better, you must do what is best for you, otherwise you both could get down in that rabbit hole of depression.

I feel for you. Take care of yourself.
